Four Hours of Action Sports Coverage on NBC and Two on NBCSN
Premiere Skateboard and BMX Athletes Include Paul Rodriguez, Ryan Sheckler, Sean Malto and Drew Bezanson
Coverage to Feature Competitions Held in Portland, Ore., and Brooklyn, N.Y.
Burr Ridge, Ill. - October 15, 2014 - NBC Sports Group will present six hours of coverage of the Dew Tour Toyota City Championships this weekend, featuring the world’s premier skateboard and BMX athletes. Coverage of the two-stop event begins Saturday at 3 p.m. ET on NBC and continues through the weekend. NBC and NBCSN will showcase Dew Tour City Championships competitions held in Portland, Ore. and Brooklyn, N.Y.
Featuring the world’s top skateboard and BMX athletes, the Dew Tour City Championships brings together the biggest names in each sport to compete in the Dew Tour’s own unique streetstyle event, as well as street and dirt competitions. Athletes competing include skateboarders Paul Rodriguez, Ryan Sheckler, Sean Malto, Curren Caples, and Alec Majerus, and BMX athletes Drew Bezanson, Ryan Nyquist and Dennis Enarson.
Veteran play-by-play announcer Todd Harris will lead NBC and NBCSN’s coverage of the Dew Tour City Championships. Harris will be joined by Chris Miller (skateboard analyst), Jamie Bestwick (BMX analyst) and Carolyn Manno (reporter).
The Toyota City Championships wrap up the summer events of the four-stop 2014 Dew Tour season. Following the City Championships, the 2014 Dew Tour moves on to Breckenridge, Colo. for snowboard and freeski competitions this December.
