SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

Sunday Night Football kicks off on Sunday at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC, when the Philadelphia Eagles host the New York Giants at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pa. Coverage begins with Football Night in America at 7 p.m. ET on NBC.

Calling Giants-Eagles is play-by-play announcer Al Michaels, analyst Cris Collinsworth, and sideline reporter Michele Tafoya.

Football Night in America, the most-watched studio show in sports, is hosted by Bob Costas, who will report from Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday. Costas will be joined on site by Collinsworth, Tafoya, Hines Ward and Josh Elliott.

Dan Patrick co-hosts Football Night from NBC Sports Group’s Studio 1 and will be joined by Tony Dungy, Rodney Harrison, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk on NBCSN and NBCSports.com, and Peter King of Sports Illustrated. Carolyn Manno will report from Century Link Field in Seattle, Wash. on the Cowboys-Seahawks game.

 

FORMULA ONE

NBC Sports Group’s comprehensive coverage of the F1Russian Grand Prix begins tonight at 5 p.m. ET with F1Countdown, and continues Saturday at 7 a.m. ET with qualifying races.

Live Japanese Grand Prix coverage begins Sunday at 6:30 a.m. ET, followed by F1 Extra at 9 a.m. ET. NBCSN will air an encore presentation of the Russian Grand Prix Sunday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Lead F1 announcer Leigh Diffey will call the Russian Grand Prix, and will be joined by analysts David Hobbs and Steve Matchett. F1 insider Will Buxton will serve as the team’s on-site reporter from Sochi Autodrom, and will also call the GP2 race Saturday at 11:30 a.m. ET.

 

MECUM AUCTIONS

NBCSN continues its presentation of Mecum Auctions with 10 hours of coverage from Mecum’s Chicago auction this week. Weekend coverage begins tonight at 6:30 p.m. ET, followed by a live presentation on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET. Mecum Auctions coverage will follow the F1 Russian Grand Prix on Sunday at 10 a.m. ET.

Scott Hoke hosts NBCSN’s Mecum Auctions coverage on-site at the Schaumburg Convention Center in Schaumburg, Ill., alongside analysts John Kraman, Stephen Cox, and Bill Stephens.

 

MMA

World Series of Fighting returns to NBCSN this Saturday live at 9 p.m. ET highlighted by Ryan “The Real Deal” Ford (22-4), unbeaten in his past six fights, vs. Jake Shields (29-7-1), making his World Series of Fight debut, in a welterweight bout.

Play-by-play announcer Todd Harris will be joined by mixed martial artists and analyst Bas Rutten to call the action from the Edmonton EXPO Centre at Northlands in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

 

COLLEGE FOOTBALL

The No. 6 Notre Dame Fighting Irish look to continue their undefeated 2014 season with a victory against the North Carolina Tar Heels this Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Coverage begins with Countdown to Kickoff, NBC Sports Group’s Notre Dame pre-game show, at 3 p.m. ET on NBC.

Dan Hicks calls Saturday’s game alongside analyst Mike Mayock and sideline reporter Kathryn Tappen.

Liam McHugh hosts Countdown To Kickoff at 3 p.m. ET on NBC, on-site at Notre Dame Stadium. He will be joined by Doug Flutie and Hines Ward. McHugh, Flutie and Ward will also manage half-time coverage, as well as the post-game show, which will air on NBCSN.

In addition, NBCSN will present a showdown of two of the top teams in the Colonial Athletic Association this weekend. The New Hampshire Wildcats host the William & Mary Tribe at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.

Paul Burmeister (play-by-play) and Anthony Herron (analyst) call the action from Cowell Stadium in Durham, N.H.

 

WORLD GYMNASTICS CHAMPIONSHIPS

NBC presents coverage of the 2014 World Gymnastics Championships this Saturday at 2 p.m. ET. Coverage continues Sunday beginning at 3 p.m. ET. Coverage will include the women’s and men’s team finals and women’s and men’s all-around competitions.

NBC Sports Group’s gymnastics team of Al Trautwig, Tim Daggett, and Nastia Liukin will host coverage.

 

MLS

NBCSN’s coverage of Major League Soccer continues tonight when Western Conference leader Seattle Sounders host the Vancouver Whitecaps at 10 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

NBC Sports Group’s lead MLS play-by-play announcer John Strong calls the match joined by former MLS and USMNT player Kyle Martino and host Russ Thaler.

 

GOLF

The 2014-15 PGA TOUR season gets underway this week on the West Coast with the Frys.com Open. Weekend coverage begins tonight at 5 p.m. ET on Golf Channel, and continues Saturday at 5 p.m. ET. Coverage of Sunday’s final round begins at 5 p.m. ET on Golf Channel.

Terry Gannon (play-by-play) leads Golf Channel’s team calling the action from Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa, Calif. Joining Gannon will be Peter Oosterhuis (analyst), Matt Gogel (tower) and Roger Maltbie, Jerry Foltz and Phil Parkin (on course reporters).

Weekend coverage of the Champions Tour SAS Championship on Golf Channel begins Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET, and continues Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET.

Brian Hammons (play-by-play), Lanny Wadkins (analyst), Dave Marr (tower), John Mahaffey (tower), and Billy Ray Brown (on course) call the action from Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, N.C.

Golf Channel’s weekend coverage of the European Tour’s Portugal Open begins Saturday at 8 a.m. ET, and continues Sunday at 8:30 a.m. ET.

Calling the action from Oceanico Victoria Golf Course in Vilamoura, Portugal is Dougie Donnelly, Ken Brown and Jay Townsend.

The LPGA’s Sime Darby Malaysia continues tonight at 11:30 p.m. ET on Golf Channel. Live coverage of the final round begins Saturday at 11:30 p.m. ET on Golf Channel.

Mike Ritz hosts from the Golf Channel studios in Orlando, joined by play-by-play announcer Peter Donegan and analysts Sandy MacKenzie and Kate Burton.
