STAMFORD, Conn. – October 8, 2014 — World Series of Fighting returns to NBCSN this Saturday, October 11 live at 9 p.m. ET highlighted by Ryan “The Real Deal” Ford (22-4), unbeaten in his past six fights, vs. Jake Shields (29-7-1), making his World Series of Fight debut, in a welterweight bout.
The co-main event features Smealinho “The Prince” Rama (8-1) facing knockout artist Derrick “Caveman” Mehmen (18-5, 11 knockouts) in World Series of Fighting’s inaugural heavyweight title fight. Saturday’s card also features bouts between Chris “The Polish Hammer” Horodecki (20-5-1) and submission specialist Luis Huete (6-1, 5 submissions) in the featherweight division; and grappling expert Luke Harris (10-2, 10 submissions) facing Jared “The Messenger” Hamman (13-6), also making his World Series of fighting debut, in the light heavyweight division.
Play-by-play announcer Todd Harris will be joined by mixed martial artists and analyst Bas Rutten to call the action from the Edmonton EXPO Centre at Northlands in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
