DC UNITED HOST SPORTING KANSAS CITY IN TOP-TIER EASTERN CONFERENCE MATCH THIS FRIDAY AT 8 PM ET ON NBCSN

New York Red Bulls Host Houston Dynamo Saturday at 6 p.m. ET

San Jose Earthquakes Host Portland Timbers Saturday at 11 p.m. ET

STAMFORD, Conn. – October 1, 2014 – NBCSN’s coverage of Major League Soccer continues with three matches this weekend, beginning this Friday, Oct. 3, at 8 p.m. ET when Eastern Conference leaders DC United host last season’s MLS Cup champions Sporting Kansas City, third in the Eastern Conference, and U.S. Men’s National Team members Graham Zusi and Matt Besler.

On Saturday, Oct. 4, New York Red Bulls and current MLS-leading goal scorer Bradley Wright-Phillips (24 goals in 28 appearances), host the Houston Dynamo, who come off a 2-0 win over the Chicago Fire, at 6 p.m. ET. The New York Red Bulls will be looking to maintain a playoff spot in a tight Eastern Conference, as they sit in the last playoff spot entering the final month of regular season play.

NBC Sports Group’s lead MLS play-by-play announcer John Strong calls both DC United vs Sporting Kansas City and New York Red Bulls vs Houston Dynamo joined by former Jamaican National Team player Robbie Earle and host Russ Thaler.

MLS coverage on NBCSN continues Saturday at 11 p.m. ET when the San Jose Earthquakes and U.S. Men’s National Team forward Chris Wondolowski host the Portland Timbers and midfielder Diego Valeri.

CSN California’s Anthony Passarelli calls the match from Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., joined by former MLS player Brian Dunseth and CSN Houston reporter Sebastian Salazar.
