Stamford, Conn. – September 16, 2014 – NBC Sports Group’s in-depth coverage of the 2014 NFL season continues Wednesday night at 10 p.m. ET with an all new episode of NFL Turning Point, NBCSN’s Emmy Award-nominated weekly NFL show co-produced by NFL Films.
Wednesday’s episode reviews the Chicago Bears matchup against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football, and analyzes how Bears QB Jay Cutler and WR Brandon Marshall engineered a 21-point, fourth-quarter, come-from-behind win against the 49ers, in the inaugural game at Levi’s Stadium.
In addition, this week’s installment of NFL Turning Point will include spotlight features on Chargers – Seahawks, a film study with Carolina Panthers LB Luke Kuechly, and wired for sound segments with Bengals QB Andy Dalton and Redskins head coach Jay Gruden.
Hosted by Football Night In America’s Dan Patrick, the hour-long program will air throughout the entire NFL season, including the playoffs and Super Bowl.
This week’s episode features:
- Bears – 49ers: NFL Turning Pointbreaks down Sunday night’s game between Chicago and San Francisco, and analyzes the transformation of the Bears offense from their sloppy play in the first half to the strategic 21-point comeback in the fourth quarter. NFL Turning Point highlights the play of Bears QB Jay Cutler and WR Brandon Marshall, and how the pair combined for two fourth-quarter touchdowns that changed the direction of the game and ultimately gave the Bears the win.
- Seahawks – Chargers: NFL Films examines the play of the San Diego’s offense, and how QB Phillip Rivers successfully challenged Seahawks CB Richard Sherman. NFL Turning Point highlights TE Antonio Gates’ three touchdown receptions and how his performance helped lead the Chargers to victory.
- Luke Kuechly: NFL Turning Pointfeatures an exclusive film study with Panthers LB Luke Kuechly, in which Kuechly speaks about the keys to his position and what it was like being named defensive player of the year last season.
Wednesday night’s episode will also feature wired for sound segments with Bengals QB Andy Dalton and Redskins head coach Jay Gruden.
Each week Emmy-nominated NFL Turning Point is built around select NFL matchups from the previous weekend, and focuses on the crucial “turning point” moments that ultimately defined the outcome of each game. In 2014 NBCSN will air a total of 22 episodes, running throughout the entire NFL season, including the playoffs and Super Bowl. The season finale, scheduled to air on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, will look back at the turning point of Super Bowl XLIX.
