FOOTBALL

Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears (0-1) travel to Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., to take on Colin Kaepernick and the 49ers (1-0) on Sunday Night Football, in the first NFL regular-season game at Levi’s Stadium. Coverage begins with Football Night In America at 7 p.m. ET on NBC.

Calling the action NBC’s team of Al Michaels  (play by play),  Cris Collinsworth (analyst), Michele Tafoya (sideline reporter).

Football Night in America, the most-watched studio show in sports, is hosted by Bob Costas, who will report from Levi Stadium, on Sunday. Costas will be joined on site by Cris Collinsworth, Hines Ward, and Josh Elliott.

Dan Patrick co-hosts Football Night from NBC Sports Group’s Studio 1 and will be joined by Tony Dungy, Rodney Harrison, Mike Florio, Peter King and Carolyn Manno.

 

NOTRE DAME FOOTBALL

The No. 11 Notre Dame Fighting Irish look to move to 3-0 with a victory over an in-state rival this weekend, when they face the Purdue Boilermakers (1-1) in primetime on NBC at 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday, in the 2014 Shamrock Series at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. Coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN with Countdown To Kickoff, NBC Sports Group’s Notre Dame pre-game show.

Tom Hammond, former long-time Notre Dame play-by-play voice on NBC, will call Saturday’s game in Indianapolis. He’ll be joined by analyst Mike Mayock and sideline reporter Kathryn Tappen.

 

MLS

NBCSN’s coverage of Major League Soccer continues this tonight at 10:30 p.m. ET when the Seattle Sounders host Real Salt Lake.

Philadelphia Union’s lead play-by-play announcer JP Dellacamera calls the match from CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Wash., joined by former MLS player Brian Dunseth and host Russ Thaler.

The action continues Saturday at 3 p.m. ET, when the New York Red Bulls and current MLS-leading goal scorer Bradley Wright-Phillips (21 goals in 25 appearances) visit the Philadelphia Union, which come into the contest on a three-game winning streak.

Steve Cangialosi, announcer for the New York Red Bulls on the MSG Network, handles play-by-play from PPL Park in Chester, Pa., joined by former English footballer Robbie Mustoe. Comcast SportsNet New England and NBCSN analyst Dalen Cuff hosts studio coverage.

 

PREMIER LEAGUE

NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the 2014-15 Premier League season continues this Saturday beginning at 6:30 a.m. ET on NBCSN with Barclays Premier League Preview, followed by Premier League Live at 7 a.m. ET, and Arsenal vs. Manchester City at 7:45 a.m. ET. The action continues throughout the day with Chelsea vs. Swansea City on NBCSN at 10 a.m. ET, and Liverpool vs. Aston Villa at 12:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

Sunday’s Premier League action begins at 10 a.m. ET with Premier League Live on NBCSN, followed by Manchester United vs. Queens Park Rangers at 11 a.m. ET, and Premier League Goal Zone at 1 p.m. ET.  Sunday’s Match of the Day begins at 1:30 p.m. on NBCSN.

Rebecca Lowe hosts Premier League Live and Premier League Goal Zone alongside Robbie Earle and Kyle Martino.

NBC’s lead Premier League play-by-play announcer Arlo White hosts Saturday’s Liverpool vs. Aston Villa game alongside Graeme Le Saux.

The 45-event 2013-2014 PGA TOUR season culminates on Sunday, as the 29-man TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola field competes for the FedExCup Playoffs $10 million first-place prize, and the title of 2014 FedExCup champion. Live coverage of the Tour Championship continues Saturday at 12 p.m. ET on Golf Channel, followed by NBC’s coverage at 2:30 p.m. ET. The final round begins at 12 p.m. ET on Golf Channel, followed by the conclusion of the tournament on NBC at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Dan Hicks (play-by-play) and Johnny Miller (analyst) lead NBC’s team from East Lake Golf Club.  Joining Hicks and Miller are Gary Koch (tower), Peter Jacobsen (tower), Roger Maltbie (on course), Mark Rolfing (on course), Notah Begay (on course), Steve Sands (interviews) and Jimmy Roberts (essays).

Rich Lerner (play-by-play), Frank Nobilo (analyst) and Phil Parkin (on course) cover the live tournament action on Golf Channel. On site for Golf Central is Ryan Burr (host),  Brandel Chamblee (analyst), Steve Flesch (analyst) and Todd Lewis (reporter).

Live coverage of the LPGA Tour’s Evian Championship continues on Golf Channel Saturday at 6:30 a.m. ET. Sunday’s Final round begins at 8 a.m. ET on Golf Channel, and continues on NBC at 12 p.m. ET.

Golf Channel’s Steve Burkowski hosts from Golf Channel’s Orlando studio. Burkowski is joined by Terry Gannon (play by play), Judy Rankin (analyst) and Jerry Foltz (on course).

Golf Channel’s weekend coverage of the European Tour’s KLM Open begins Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET, and concludes with the final round at 4:30 p.m. ET Sunday.

MMA

World Series of Fighting returns to NBCSN Saturday at 9 p.m. ET highlighted by reigning WSOF bantamweight champion Marlon Moraes (13-4-1) vs. Cody “The Cali Cowboy” Bollinger (16-2), fighting at a catchweight of 140 lbs.

Play-by-play announcer Todd Harris will be joined by mixed martial artists and analysts Bas Rutten and Joey Varner to call the action from the Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem, Pa.
