Stamford, Conn. – September 9, 2014 – The fourth season of the Emmy Award-nominated NFL Turning Point, NBCSN’s weekly NFL show co-produced by NFL Films, will debut tomorrow night at 10 p.m. ET.

Wednesday’s episode breaks down the Denver Broncos season opener against the Indianapolis Colts, how QB’s Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck matched up in their second career meeting, and the keys to the Broncos offense and defense, which ultimately proved to be too much for the Colts. In addition, Wednesday night’s episode will include spotlight features on Falcons – Saints and Ravens – Bengals, a film study with Chicago Bears WR Brandon Marshall, and a wired for sound segment with New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan and Houston Texans head coach Bill O’Brien.

Hosted by Football Night In America’s Dan Patrick, the hour-long program will air throughout the entire NFL season, including the playoffs and Super Bowl.

This week’s episode features:

  • Colts – Broncos: NFL Turning Point breaks down Sunday’s game between Indianapolis and Denver, and analyzes the rematch between two of the league’s best quarterbacks. NFL Turning Point highlights the play of Colts QB Andrew Luck, and how the Broncos’ defense was able to repeatedly stop Indianapolis in the red zone. The segment also reviews the play of Bronco’s QB Peyton Manning, and how he was able to engineer Denver’s offense without the help of starting WR Wes Welker.

  • Bengals – Ravens: NFL Films examines the play of Ravens WR Steve Smith and Bengals WR J. Green, and how each of their performances ultimately impacted the outcome of the game. NFL Films reviews Smith’s 80-yard touchdown reception, and Green’s 77-yard touchdown reception, which helped put the Bengals in the lead and secure the win.

  • Saints – Falcons: NFL Turning Point analyzes the final minutes of Sunday’s matchup between New Orleans and Atlanta, and how the Falcons’ forced fumble early in OT led to their game winning field goal.

  • Brandon Marshall:The season debut of NFL Turning Point wraps up with an exclusive film study with Bears WR Brandon Marshall, in which Marshall watches and reacts to some of his own mic’d up footage from past seasons, discusses his relationship with Bears QB Jay Cutler, and analyzes select plays on tape.

Wednesday night’s episode will also feature wired for sound segments with Jets head coach Rex Ryan and Texans head coach Bill O’Brien.

Each week Emmy-nominated NFL Turning Point will be built around select NFL matchups from the previous weekend, and will focus on the crucial “turning point” moments that ultimately defined the outcome of each game. The show will also feature anatomy-of-a-play type segments and long form, Game-of-the-Week style narratives that include the pre-game and post-game access, sideline sounds, jaw-dropping cinematography and incredible storytelling that is synonymous with NFL Films.

In 2014 NBCSN will air a total of 22 episodes, running throughout the entire NFL season, including the playoffs and Super Bowl. The season finale, scheduled to air on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, will look back at the turning point of Super Bowl XLIX.
