NBC SPORTS GROUP TO DELIVER MORE THAN 25 COLLEGE HOCKEY GAMES IN 2014-15

NBCSN and NBC Sports Live Extra to Present Notre Dame and Hockey East Games

Rivalry On Ice To Feature Yale – Harvard from Madison Square Garden

Coverage Begins Friday, October 17 at 7:30 p.m. ET with Lake Superior State at Notre Dame

Stamford, Conn. – August 28, 2014 – NBCSN and NBC Sports Live Extra will present more than 25 college hockey games this season, including 20 Notre Dame home games, six Hockey East games and the second annual Rivalry on Ice. A total of 19 games will be televised on NBCSN, and an additional eight games will be streamed live via NBC Sports Live Extra, NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, and tablets.

The 2014-15 NBCSN college hockey schedule will feature 12 television appearances by Notre Dame and up to eight additional appearances online. NBCSN’s 2014-15 college hockey schedule will also include four appearances by Boston College, three appearances by the University of New Hampshire, two appearances each by Boston University, UMass Lowell, and Providence College, and one appearance by 2014 NCAA Men’s Division I champion Union College. In addition, Niagara University, the University of Maine, Dartmouth College, Western Michigan University, UConn and UMass Amherst will also play games on NBCSN.

NBCSN’s coverage of the 2014-15 college hockey season begins on Friday, October 17 at 7:30 p.m. ET with Lake Superior State University at Notre Dame, live from Compton Family Ice Arena in South Bend, Ind. The 2014-15 schedule also features matchups between Boston University and Boston College on Friday, November 7 at 8 p.m. ET, UMass Lowell hosting Maine on Saturday, December 6 at 8 p.m. ET, and a two-game series between Providence College and Notre Dame on February 13 at 7:30 p.m. ET and February 14 at 8 p.m. ET. In addition, one of the most storied collegiate hockey rivalries returns to NBCSN, when Yale University squares off against Harvard University for the second annual Rivalry on Ice from Madison Square Garden on January 10 at 8 p.m. ET.
