Topps Trading Cards Feature NBC Sports Group Premier League Announce Team
Coverage Debuts Saturday, August 16 at 7 AM ET on NBCSN
STAMFORD, Conn. – August 10, 2014 – NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the 2014-15 Premier League season kicks off six days from today, on Saturday, August 16. Coverage begins at 7 a.m. ET with Premier League Live on NBCSN followed by Manchester United v. Swansea City and continues throughout the season on the networks of NBCUniversal, on the Premier League Extra Time bonus TV package, and streamed live on NBC Sports Live Extra.
PREMIER LEAGUE NUMBER OF THE DAY: 6
Chelsea defeated Arsenal 6-0 on March 22, marking the first time in more than 100 years of meetings that the Blues scored 6 goals against the Gunners. It was also the biggest Premier League win of Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho’s career.
NBC Sports Group will once again make all 380 games from the Premier League available in the United States. All games will be preceded and followed by Premier League Live pre- and post-match shows from the NBC Sports Group International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn.
Topps Trading Cards Featuring NBC Sports Group Premier League Announce Team
NBC Sports Group teamed up with The Topps Company to create custom trading cards for NBC Sports Group’s Premier League commentators and personalities. Leading up to the Premier League season, bars in select markets across the country will receive “Season Starter Kits” including Topps trading cards for lead Premier League play-by-play announcer Arlo White, Premier League Live host Rebecca Lowe, analysts Robbie Earle, Kyle Martino, and Robbie Mustoe, and “football” coach Ted Lasso. These limited edition “Season Starter Kits” also include select cards from Topps’ 2013 Premier League set featuring a special selection of Premier League stars.
