Yahoo Sports – NBC Sports Network Digital Alliance Ranks No. 2 Among Sports Sites in Multi-Platform Minutes and Uniques for June

Fueled by the Stanley Cup Playoffs and two legs of the Triple Crown, the Yahoo Sports – NBC Sports Network digital alliance ranked No. 2 among all sports digital sites in June with 58.2 million uniques and 2.2 billion minutes, up 5% and 3% versus the prior year, respectively, according to multiplatform data released by comScore.

Among the NBC Sports Regional Networks digital properties, CSN Chicago led all of the NBC Sports Regional Networks in uniques for the month of June with 2.0 million, which is up 144 percent versus last year.

Golf Channel Unveils App Re-Design
Coming off its most successful quarter ever, Golf Channel Digital announced the re-launch of its popular mobile app. With more than 2.5 million existing downloads, the Golf Channel App has more than doubled in page views and video starts in the last two years.

The redesign features a new home screen with an easy-to-navigate lead story carousel, an improved photo gallery with larger photos, and more videos featuring news, instruction and original material. Rebuilt from the ground up, updates on the app began earlier this year to offer new information architecture and design ideas that offer a better user interface and experience.

ProBasketballTalk and ProSoccerTalk Again Set New Weekly Bests for June

Both ProSoccerTalk and ProBasketballTalk recently experienced record weekly traffic in uniques.

With the World Cup winding down, PST set its new record the week of June 30 with 1.1 million uniques, beating out the previous best set the week prior (1.04 million). It was the third time in three consecutive weeks PST beat its record (829,000, June 16; 1.04 million, June 23).

NBA free agency, including LeBron James’ announcement that he’ll return to the Cleveland Cavaliers, propelled PBT to a new weekly record for uniques with 2.6 million, passing its previous record set two weeks prior (week of June 16, 2014). PBT also had a new best one-day record in uniques with 787,000, up 3 percent from March 25.

Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Mid-Season Digital Metrics Up Double Digits

The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship live stream coverage continues to show considerable growth. With seven races in the books, the live stream usage is up across all metrics, including total minutes watched with 16.0 million, up 56 percent and nearly surpassing 2013’s total minutes watched (15.6 million). Mobile consumption via the NBC Sports Live Extra app continues to grow with minutes watched at 3.3 million, up 96 percent versus this point last season.

“The 700 Level” re-launches on CSNPhilly.com

CSNPhilly.com continues to be the one-stop shop destination for all Philly sports content, and is re-launching the popular site, The700Level.com, named after the legendary section of Veterans Stadium known to be home to the rowdiest fans. The revamped site will maintain its own editorial voice with its content appearing on team pages and in feeds to increase traffic

The700Level is a Philly sports blog that was started in 2004 by Enrico Campitelli. It has received numerous accolades; among them Best Philadelphia Sports Blog Runner Up in Glenn Macnow’s The Great Book of Philadelphia Sports Lists, and Gawker Media sports blog Deadspin.com referring to The700Level as “invaluable.”

In 2010, Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia acquired The700Level.com, keeping it as a separate site meant to augment Insider content on CSNPhilly.com. In July, The700Level was officially integrated into CSNPhilly.com at http://www.csnphilly.com/the700level.
