NBC SPORTS GROUP TO PRESENT LIVE COVERAGE OF DEW TOUR BEACH CHAMPIONSHIPS FRIDAY – SUNDAY

Seven Hours of Coverage on NBC and NBCSN

NBC Sports Live Extra and DewTour.com to Live Stream 17 Hours of Exclusive Content

Athletes Include Bucky Lasek, Jamie Bestwick, Tom Schaar and Ryan Nyquist

Bestwick and Nyquist to Compete and Serve as Analysts for Television Coverage

OCEAN CITY, Md. – June 25, 2014 - NBC Sports Group will present more than 24 hours of coverage of the Dew Tour Beach Championships this week from Ocean City, Md., including four hours of live television coverage on NBC, three hours on NBCSN, and more than 17 hours of digital content live streamed on NBC Sports Live Extra and DewTour.com.

Featuring the world’s top skateboard and BMX athletes, the Dew Tour Beach Championships will bring together the country’s best pro vert, park and bowl athletes, along with an array of international talent looking to capture the Dew Cup. The event will serve as the first event of the 2014 season, kicking off the Dew Tour’s 10th Anniversary. Athletes competing in the event include, Bucky Lasek, Jamie Bestwick, Tom Schaar, Pedro Barros, Ryan Nyquist and Dennis Enarson.In addition to competing in select BMX events, Bestwick and Nyquist will also serve as analysts for NBC and NBCSN’s coverage of the Beach Championships.

NBC AND NBCSN

Television coverage begins Saturday at 1 p.m. ET on NBC, and continues through the weekend on NBC and NBCSN. Veteran play-by-play announcer Todd Harris will lead the coverage, and will be joined by Chris Miller (skateboard analyst), Jamie Bestwick (BMX Park analyst), Ryan Nyquist (BMX Vert analyst), and Tina Dixon (reporter).

Dew Tour Live presented by Quiznos will stream a majority of coverage via “TV Everywhere,” the media industry’s effort to make quality content available to authenticated customers both in and out of the home and on multiple platforms.

All practice, semifinals, and finals of the Dew Tour Beach Championships will be streamed live on NBC Sports Live Extraand DewTour.com. Online coverage will begin Friday at 1 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Live Extra and DewTour.com. In addition to live coverage of each competition, DewTour.com will feature exclusive athlete interviews, behind the scenes content, and pre and post-competition coverage. Digital content will be hosted by Chris Pastras, who will be joined by Neal Hendrix (skateboard analyst) and Matt Bischoff (BMX analyst).
