MOTORSPORTS COVERAGE

NBC Sports Group presents more than 35 hours of motorsports coverage across NBC and NBCSN this weekend. Coverage begins tonight with NBCSN’s NASCAR America, the 30-minute daily show dedicated to the nation’s longstanding fascination with speed and stock car racing, at 5 p.m. ET.

Leigh Diffey hosts NASCAR America, alongside special guest and former NASCAR driver Ricky Rudd.

Live coverage of the F1 Austrian Grand Prix begins Saturday at 8 a.m. ET on NBCSN with qualifying. NBCSN’s live race presentation airs Sunday at 7:30 a.m. ET, followed by F1 Extra, NBC Sports Group’s pre- and post-race studio show, at 10 a.m. ET.

Lead F1 announcer Leigh Diffey will call the Austrian Grand Prix, and will be joined by David Hobbs and Steve Matchett (analysts), and F1 insider Will Buxton (on-site reporter).

NBC’s coverage of the 2014 Red Bull Global Rallycross Championship continues this weekend on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET from Washington, D.C.

Veteran motorsports play-by-play announcer Tes Sewell will call the action on Sunday on-site from RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C., joined by motorsports Townsend Bell (analyst) and Kristen Kenney (reporter).

 

GOLF COVERAGE

NBC Sports Group is presenting more than 20 hours of tournament and news coverage of the U.S. Women’s Open at Pinehurst this weekend. Golf Channel on NBC’s coverage of the third and final rounds begin at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, on NBC.

World Golf Hall-of-Famer Annika Sorenstam will serve as an analyst during NBC’s weekend coverage alongside NBC’s team of Dan Hicks (play by play), Gary Koch (analyst), Mark Rolfing (tower), Steve Sands (tower), and Roger Maltbie, Kay Cockerill and Jane Crafter on course to call the action.

Golf Channel’s live coverage of the PGA Tour Travelers Championship continues Saturday with the third round at 1 p.m. ET, and concludes with final round coverage Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.

Golf Channel’s team of Brian Hammons (play-by-play), Frank Nobilo (analyst), Peter Oosterhuis (tower), Matt Gogel (tower), and Rich Beem (on course) will call the action from TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, CT.

Golf Channel’s live coverage of the European Tour’s Irish Open continues with the third round Saturday at 7:30 a.m. ET on Golf Channel, and concludes Sunday with final round coverage at 7:00 a.m. ET.

Golf Channel’s Mike Ritz hosts from Orlando, and Julian Tutt (play-by-play), Shane O’Donoghue (analyst), Tony Johnstone (analyst), and Jamie Spence (on course) call the action from Fota Island in Cork, Ireland.

Golf Channel’s live coverage of the Champions Tour Encompass Championship continues Saturday at 3 p.m. ET, and concludes with final round coverage Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.

Golf Channel’s team of Bob Papa (play-by-play), Lanny Wadkins (analyst), John Maheffey (tower), Billy Ray Brown (on course) and Phil Parkin (on course) will call the action from North Shore Country Club in Glenview, Ill.

Golf Channel’s live coverage of the PGA Professional National Championship begins Sunday at 5 p.m. ET.

Golf Channel’s team of Dave Marr (play-by-play), Michael Breed (analyst), Phil Blackmar (tower), Steve Burkowski (on course) and Scott Walker (on course) will call the action from Grand Dunes Golf Course in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

 

BOXING COVERAGE 

NBCSN Fight Night will showcase the IBF Eliminator between Anatoliy “The Gladiator” Dudchenko and Nadjib Mohammedi for the #1 position in the IBF light heavyweight ratings Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.

NBC Sports Group’s Fight Night broadcast team of play-by-play announcer Kenny Rice (play-by-play)  B.J. Flores (analyst) and Chris Mannix (reporter) have the call.

 

MMA COVERAGE

NBCSN presents World Series of Fighting this Saturday at 10 p.m. ET. The elite mixed martial arts (MMA) card is highlighted by the inaugural title fight in the middleweight division featuring undefeated World Series of Fighting veteran David Branch (13-3) against Jesse Taylor (27-9).

NBCSN’s Todd Harris (play-by-play) is joined by mixed martial artists and analysts Bas Rutten and Joey Varner to call the action from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev.
