NBC Sports Group’s race coverage of the 146th Belmont Stakes featuring Triple Crown contender California Chrome begins with pre-race coverage at 2:30 p.m. ET Saturday on NBCSN and culminates with the running of the 146th Belmont Stakes at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
Friday’s coverage will include the features Belmont Stakes Access and California Chrome: The Unlikely Champion; and replays of the 140th Kentucky Derby and 139th Preakness Stakes.
Leading in to the Saturday’s race coverage Belmont Stakes Prep airs at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, followed by The 146th Belmont Stakes at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
Bob Costas, a 26-time Emmy Award-winner, and veteran NBC Sports commentator Tom Hammond will call the action from Belmont Park; along with analysts Randy Moss and Hall of Fame jockey Jerry Bailey; analysts/handicappers Mike Battaglia and Bob Neumeier; NBCSN host/NBC reporter Laffit Pincay, III; reporters Kenny Rice, Donna Brothers and Jay Privman, and race caller Larry Collmus. In addition, Josh Elliott and Carolyn Manno will provide a mix of features and interviews at Belmont Park.
The New York Rangers will look to send the Stanley Cup Final back to The Big Apple even at one game apiece with a Game 2 victory on Saturday night against the Los Angeles Kings at 7:15 p.m. ET on NBC.
NBC Sport’s Group’s coverage of the Stanley Cup Finals between the New York Rangers and Los Angeles Kings will immediately follow coverage of the 146th running of the Belmont Stakes.
Emmy Award-winning play-by-play broadcaster Mike “Doc” Emrick, analyst Eddie Olczyk, and Emmy Award-winning “Inside the Glass” analyst Pierre McGuire will have the call of Game 2 from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, Calif. Host Liam McHugh and analysts Mike Milbury, Jeremy Roenick and Keith Jones will anchor NBC Sports Group’s intermission coverage.
NBC Sports’ live coverage of the 2014 French Open Finals begins tomorrow with the Women’s final match, and concludes with the live Men’s Final on Sunday, both at 9 a.m. ET on NBC.
Defending champion Rafael Nadal headlines the men’s final with a record eight French Open titles (2005-2008, 2010-2013). 2012 champion and last year’s runner-up Maria Sharapova looks to win her second French Open title in Saturday’s Women’s Final.
Host Ted Robinson anchors NBC’s coverage, joined by analysts John McEnroe and Mary Carillo. This is Robinson’s 15th French Open in the anchor chair for NBC. McEnroe and Carillo teamed to win the mixed doubles title at the 1977 French Open. This is NBC’s 32ndconsecutive year televising the event.
NBC Sports Group’s motor sports coverage begins tonight with the Firestone 600 at 6:30 p.m. ET with qualifying, followed by live race coverage Saturday on NBCSN at 8 p.m. ET.
Brian Till (play-by-play) will call the action alongside former drivers Townsend Bell and Paul Tracy. Reporters Marty Snider, Kelly Stavast, Jon Beekhuis and Kevin Lee will report from the pits.
NBC’s Formula One coverage continues with the Canadian Grand Prix live from Montreal. Live Extra will stream coverage of Practice 3 on Saturday at 10 a.m. ET, prior to NBCSN’s live coverage of qualifying at 1 p.m. ET. F1 Extra, NBC Sports Group’s pre-race show, will air Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, leading into live race coverage of the Canadian Grand Prix at 2 p.m. ET on NBC.
NBC Sports Group’s lead F1 broadcast team of Leigh Diffey (play-by-play), veteran analyst and former racecar driver David Hobbs, analyst and former race mechanic for the Benetton F1 team Steve Matchett, and F1 insider Will Buxton will call the action on-site from the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, Canada.
Coverage of the Lucas Oil Pro Motorcross Thunder Valley National begins on NBC Sports Live Extra with practice at 12:30 p.m. ET, followed by pre-race coverage on Live Extra at 2:30 p.m. ET. 1st Motos coverage begins live from Thunder Valley at 3 p.m. ET on Live Extra, followed by 2ndMotos on NBCSN at 5 p.m. ET.
Veteran play-by-play voice Jason Weigandt, analyst and two-time AMA Pro Motocross Champion Grant Langston, and pit reporter Georgia Lindsay will call the action from Thunder Valley on Saturday.
In addition to racing coverage, NBC Sports Group presents KURT BUSCH: 36, an all-access look into the intense preparation, 200+ MPH competition and extreme logistics surrounding Kurt Busch’s racing in IndyCar’s famed Indianapolis 500 and NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 on the same day just two weeks ago. The documentary will debut Sunday at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
