The Rangers advanced to the Final with a Game 6 victory on Thursday night against the Montreal Canadiens, as Henrik Lundqvist stopped all 18 shots he faced, and Dominic Moore scored the lone goal of the game late in the second period as New York earned a 1-0 victory in front of the Madison Square Garden faithful.

The Kings won a winner-take-all Game 7 on Sunday night in Chicago, overcoming deficits of 2-0, 3-2, and 4-3 to eventually force overtime, before Alec Martinez’ point shot deflected off of Nick Leddy’s shoulder and past Corey Crawford to send Los Angeles to the Final.

The Kings played 21 of a possible 21 games in the first three rounds, becoming the first team in Stanley Cup Playoff history to win three Game 7s on the road in all three series while advancing to the Stanley Cup Final. The Rangers played 20 of a possible 21 games, earning Game 7 victories at home against Philadelphia and on the road in Pittsburgh, before dispatching Montreal in six games in the Eastern Conference Final.

The Rangers’ last Stanley Cup title came in 1994, when New York defeated the Vancouver Canucks in seven games for its first Stanley Cup since 1940. The Kings defeated the New Jersey Devils in six games in 2012 for their first championship, and made their Stanley Cup debut in 1993 against the Canadiens.

Although this is their first encounter in the Stanley Cup Final, the Rangers have faced the Kings twice in Stanley Cup Playoff history. New York defeated Los Angeles twice in preliminary round series in 1979 and 1981.

Following is the television schedule for the 2014 Stanley Cup Final, all times Eastern and subject to change.
