MOTORSPORTS COVERAGE

NBC Sports Group kicks off the 2014 Verizon IndyCar Series Sunday at 4 p.m. ET with the IndyCar Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach on NBCSN. Live coverage begins Saturday at 6 p.m. ET with qualifying and continues Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET with the Indy Lights Streets of Long Beach race.

Lead IndyCar and F1 announcer Leigh Diffey and former drivers Townsend Bell and Paul Tracy will call the Grand Prix of Long Beach, with Marty Sniger, Kelli Stavast, Kevin Lee and Robin Miller reporting from the pits. Anders Krohn and Jake Query will join Lee to commentate the Indy Lights Streets of Long Beach race.

In addition, NBC Sports Group continues its coverage of the Mecum Auction today at 4:30 p.m. ET and Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Scott Hoke hosts with analysts John Kraman, Stephen Cox and Bull Stephens.

HOCKEY COVERAGE

NBC Sports Group’s weekend NHL coverage begins tonight on NBCSN at 10:30 p.m. ET, when the San Jose Sharks (49-21-9, 107 points) take on the Colorado Avalanche (50-21-7, 107 points), who are vying for a playoff berth in the Central Division. Randy Hahn (play-by-play) and Drew Remenda (analyst) will call the game from the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.

Coverage continues Saturday at 3 p.m. ET, on NBC, when the Philadelphia Flyers (40-29-9, 89 points) visit in-state rival the Pittsburgh Penguins (50-24-5, 105 points). Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick (play-by-play), Eddie Olczyk (analyst) and Pierre McGuire (‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst) will call the action at Pittsburgh’s CONSOL Energy Center.

In addition, Saturday at 8 p.m. ET, NBCSN presents the Chicago Blackhawks–Nashville Predators match-up, with Gord Miller (play-by-play) and Mike Johnson (analyst) announcing from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Weekend NHL coverage concludes with the Detroit Red Wings (37-27-14, 88 points) vs. T.J. Oshie and the St. Louis Blues (52-19-7, 111 points) in the NHL Game of the Week, Sunday at 12:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Dave Strader (play-by-play) and Brian Engblom (analyst) will call the game from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Mo.

Liam McHugh and Russ Thaler host NHL Live on NBCSN at 7:30 p.m. ET, welcoming analysts and former players Mike Milbury, Keith Jones, Jeremy Roenick and Anson Carter.

PREMIER LEAGUE

NBC Sports Group’s weekend Premier League coverage begins Saturday at 9 a.m. ET, on NBCSN with Premier League Live immediately followed by Fulham v. Norwich City at 10:07 a.m. ET. Premier League Extra Time will air Crystal Palace v. Aston Villa; West Bromwich Albion v. Tottenham Hotspur; Southampton v. Cardiff City; Stoke City v. Newcastle; and Sunderland v. Everton at 10:07 a.m. ET. Saturday’s live coverage concludes with Match of the Day at 11 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

On Sunday, NBCSN’s Premier League coverage begins at 7:30 a.m. ET, with Premier League Live followed by Liverpool v. Manchester City at  8:37 a.m. ET, and Swansea v. Chelsea at 11:07 a.m. ET. Coverage concludes with NBCSN’s Match of the Day II at 1:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

U.S. Men’s National Team and Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard joins lead Premier League play-by-play announcer Arlo White to call Sunday’s Liverpool v. Manchester City match on NBCSN. U.K. footballer and BBC Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker and former Liverpool and Manchester City midfielder Dietmar Hamann will be onsite reporting for NBCSN’s studio show Premier League Live.

All matches will be preceded and followed by Premier League Live pre- and post-match shows from the NBC Sports Group International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn. Rebecca Lowe hosts Premier League Live alongside Robbie Mustoe and Robbie Earle.

NOTRE DAME

NBC Sports Group presents Notre Dame’s 85th annual Blue-Gold Game at 12:30 p.m. ET, Saturday on NBCSN. Paul Burmeister (play-by-play), Mike Mayock (analyst) and Alex Flanagan (sideline reporter) will call the game live from South Bend’s Notre Dame Stadium.

NBCSN will mic both team’s quarterbacks as well as head coach Brian Kelly, providing fans an all-access look into Saturday’s game. Kelly will also be on headset to communicate with Burmeister and Mayock during fourth quarter play. Flanagan will conduct interviews with current and former players throughout the game.

CYCLING

NBCSN presents three hours of the Paris Roubaix including the famed Arenberg Forest beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Monday. This year’s Paris Roubaix features cobblestone sectors on stages 5 and 9, which will also be seen in this year’s Tour de France.

NBC Sports Group’s cycling announcer Phil Liggett will handle coverage of the Paris Roubaix joined by analyst Paul Sherwen.
