YAHOO SPORTS-NBC SPORTS NETWORK DIGITAL ALLIANCE RANKS NO. 1 AMONG SPORTS SITES IN MULTI-PLATFORM UNIQUES & MINUTES FOR FEBRUARY

Boosted by Olympics, the Alliance Generates 63.6 Million Unique Users & 5 Billion Minutes Consumed

STAMFORD, Conn. – April 7, 2014 – The Yahoo Sports-NBC Sports Network digital alliance ranked No. 1 among all sports digital sites in February with 63.6 million unique users and 5.0 billion minutes consumed, according to multi-platform data provided by comScore.

This marks the first time ever that the alliance has ranked No. 1 in minutes, and the first time since August 2013 that it has ranked No. 1 in uniques. The 63.6 million uniques, which is a monthly record for the alliance, were 13% higher than the nearest competitor (ESPN, 56.5 million), while the 5.0 billion minutes consumed were 20% higher (ESPN, 4.2 billion).

“The digital traffic for both Yahoo Sports and NBC Sports around the Olympics continues to be massive. The record consumption during the Games has now translated to comScore and a No. 1 ranking for February,” said Rick Cordella, SVP & GM, Digital Media, NBC Sports Group. “Regardless of where our alliance ranks each month, it continues to be beneficial not only for both NBC Sports and Yahoo Sports, but for our league partners, advertisers, and fans.”

Boosted, in part, by the traffic Yahoo Sports contributed during the Olympics, both to the site and through video success, NBC Sports Digital scored its best month ever, bringing 39.2 million multi-platform uniques to the alliance during the month, according to comScore.
