Stamford, Conn. – March 18, 2014 – NBCSN’s Premier League coverage on Sunday, March 16, featuring a blockbuster doubleheader of Manchester United v. Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur v. Arsenal, averaged 725,000 viewers to rank as the most-watched Premier League Sunday doubleheader on cable ever.

NBCSN’s telecast of Liverpool’s 3-0 win over Manchester United averaged 779,000 viewers to rank as the most-watched early-morning Sunday match this season, the fourth most-watched Premier League match on NBCSN this season, and fifth most-watched ever on cable.

Since the start of the 2013-2014 Premier League season, NBCSN has posted four of the five most-watched Premier League cable telecasts on record (see chart below).

Most Minutes Streamed for a Sunday Match: Fans live streamed 1,968,974 minutes of Manchester United v. Liverpool, the most ever for a Sunday match, via NBC Sports Live Extra, NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices and tablets. Live Extra users streamed 3.4 million minutes of Sunday’s Premier League doubleheader action – the second-most minutes for a Premier League Sunday this season (The four matches on December, 29, 2013, totaled 3.6 million minutes).

NBC SPORTS GROUP TO PRESENT 15 PREMIER LEAGUE MATCHES OVER FIVE DAYS

NBC Sports Group continues its Premier League coverage with 15 matches over five days beginning with an NBCSN tripleheader on Saturday highlighted by league-leaders Chelsea v. third-place Arsenal at 8:45 a.m. ET. Coverage begins at 7:30 a.m. ET with Premier League Live.

NBCSN’s Saturday tripleheader continues with relegation-threatened Cardiff City v. second-place Liverpool at 11 a.m. ET, followed by West Ham United v. seventh-place Manchester United at 1:30 p.m. ET and Goal Zone at 3:30 pm. ET.

Sunday’s Premier League coverage begins at 9 a.m. ET on NBCSN with Premier League Live followed by fifth-place Tottenham Hotspur v. eighth-place Southampton and 10th-place Aston Villa v. 11th-place Stoke City. This Sunday’s live, 60-minute Match of the Day at 2:30 p.m. ET features host Rebecca Lowe, former U.S. National Team midfielder Kyle Martino, and former English footballer Robbie Mustoe providing in-depth analysis, post-match interviews and reaction, plus extended highlights with the match commentators.

PREMIER LEAGUE 36

NBCSN debuts Premier League 36 on Sunday, March 23, at 3:30 pm. ET. The 36 Series gives viewers an all-access pass into the life of world-class athletes as cameras follow the team for 36 hours, providing a behind-the-scenes look at their on- and off-field activities.

The first-ever Premier League 36: Manchester City features Argentinian defender Martin Demichelis with his wife and family, as he welcomes the crew into his home, and Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko. In addition, the episode also highlights Reserves squad manager and 1998 World Cup champion Patrick Vieira, and kit man Les Chapman. MANCHESTER DERBY – MANCHESTER UNITED V. MANCHESTER CITY

TUESDAY, MARCH 25 AT 3:45 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

Match coverage continues Tuesday, March 25 with the Manchester Derby between local rivals Manchester United and Manchester City at 3:45 pm. ET on NBCSN.

In addition, Wednesday’s coverage features Liverpool v. Sunderland at 4 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Tuesday and Wednesday’s coverage begins at 3 p.m. ET with Premier League Live.

All matches not shown on NBCSN in the Saturday 11 a.m. ET, Tuesday 3:45 p.m. ET and Wednesday 3:45 p.m. ET windows will be available on Premier League Extra Time, a bonus television package available to MVPDs at no extra cost for customers who receive NBCSN.

All matches will be preceded and followed by Premier League Live pre- and post-match shows from the NBC Sports Group International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn. Lowe hosts Premier League Live alongside Martino and Earle.

All Premier League games will be streamed on NBC Sports Live Extra, NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices and tablets. Games airing on NBC Sports Network will be live streamed via “TV Everywhere,” the media industry’s effort to make quality content available to MVPD customers both in and out of the home and on multiple platforms.

To date, AT&T U-verse®, Bright House Networks, Cablevision’s Optimum, Comcast’s Xfinity TV, Cox, DIRECTV, Mediacom, Suddenlink, and Time Warner Cable have opted to carry the additional Premier League matches via the Premier League Extra Time package, and AT&T U-verse, Cablevision’s Optimum, Charter, Comcast’s Xfinity TV, Cox, DIRECTV, DISH, Suddenlink and Verizon FiOS will make all Premier League games available through TV Everywhere.
