NBC TO PRESENT 20 HOURS OF RED BULL SIGNATURE SERIES PROGRAMMING IN 2014

Season Kicks Off Sunday at 3 p.m. ET with

Red Bull Frozen Rush

Burr Ridge, IL – January 30, 2014 – NBC Sports Group and Red Bull Media House today announced the schedule for the 2014 Red Bull Signature Series. The 2014 Red Bull Signature Series will debut on NBC, Sunday, February 2 at 3 p.m. ET with Red Bull Frozen Rush, an innovative off-road truck race on the ski slopes of Maine’s Sunday River Resort.

In 2014, NBC will once again present series favorites Hare Scramble, Joyride, Dreamline and Rampage, as well as introduce the world to new events such as Frozen Rush and Straight Rhythm. The Red Bull Signature Series will feature 20 hours of programming on NBC throughout the calendar year. NEW PROGRAMMING

- Red Bull Frozen Rush, Feb. 2 at 3:00 p.m. ET: Redefining snowsports, this new head-to-head off-road race on the slopes features eight 900-horsepower Pro4 trucks defying the winter conditions at Maine’s Sunday River resort to rip figure eights, fly off jumps and climb snowy inclines. Eight drivers will test their skills on uncharted territory in search of a mountain champ.

- Red Bull Straight Rhythm, Dec. 21 at 3:30 p.m. ET: The world’s top dirt bike riders go head-to-head on an “unwound” supercross track. In this drag-race-on-dirt format, the turns are straightened out into a beautiful half-mile-long straight rhythm section. By isolating the whoops, triples, doubles, table tops and step on/offs, riders must focus exclusively on reading the terrain directly in front of them, correctly judging their speed for precise distance and control.
