NBC SPORTS GROUP’S COVERAGE OF MECUM AUCTIONS BEGINS THIS WEEKEND ON NBC AND NBCSN

Live Coverage From Kissimmee Car Auction Starts Friday at 1 p.m. ET on NBCSN; NBC’s Coverage Airs Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET 

NBC and NBCSN to Air Coverage of All 12 Mecum Car Auctions in 2014 

NBC Sports Live Extra to Provide Comprehensive Streaming Coverage of Kissimmee Car Auction

STAMFORD, Conn. – January 23, 2014 – NBC Sports Group’s coverage of Mecum Collector Car Auctions begins tomorrow at 1 p.m. ET on NBCSN with the Kissimmee Car Auction, the largest collector car auction in the world. The Kissimmee Auction will feature more than 3,000 classic and collector vehicles. In addition, NBC Sports Live Extra – NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, and tablets – will stream NBC and NBCSN’s Kissimmee Car Auction coverage.

NBC and NBCSN will combine to present more than eight hours of coverage from the Mecum auction in Kissimmee, Fla. this weekend. Coverage on Saturday begins at 10 a.m. ET on NBCSN. Sunday’s coverage of the Kissimmee Car Auction begins at 10 a.m. ET on NBCSN, and continues with a one-hour special on NBC at 3:30 p.m. ET, highlighting the most prestigious and unique cars sold at the auction. In addition to coverage of the cars being sold, telecasts will include spotlight features on the history of vehicles up for auction, and the lifestyles of buyers and sellers.

Scott Hoke will host NBC Sports Group’s Mecum Auctions coverage on-site in Kissimmee, Fla., alongside analysts John Kraman, Stephen Cox, Bill Stephens and reporter Kelli Stavast. Mecum Auctions is led by Dana Mecum, Founder and President of Mecum Auctions for the past 27 years.
