Wednesday’s Premier League Streaming Scores

On Wednesday, December 4th, NBC Sports Live Extra streamed nine Premier League matches, which delivered 4.6 million live minutes watched, 196,400 live starts, 116,300 visits, and averaged 40.0 minutes per visit. Highlights include:

  • The Manchester United and Everton match led the way with 44,400 live starts, which bested every Premier League match during Thanksgiving weekend as well as 88 percent of the NHL streams from the 2013 season so far.
  • The Arsenal-Hull match had 1.2 million minutes watched, which beat every Premier League game during Thanksgiving weekend and more than 85 percent of the NHL streams from the 2013 season so far.

Through the first 140 Premier League games of the season, there have been 84.8 million live minutes watched, 4.00 million live starts, 2.5mm visits, and 33.6 minutes per visit on NBC Sports Live Extra.

#WhyImThankful

For the second consecutive year, nearly every NBCUniversal entity participated in the #WhyImThankful campaign, on-air, online and/or via talent. The #WhyI’mThankful campaign originated with NBC Sports’ coverage of the Thanksgiving night NFL game last year, and was extended to the full scope of NBCU. In all during Thanksgiving week, there were more than 160 million impressions and 38,000 tweets, with more than 98 million impressions and 33,000 tweets on Thanksgiving Day alone.

Legendary Anchorman Ron Burgundy Co-Hosts The Dan Patrick Show

Last Thursday, December 5, Ron Burgundy co-hosted The Dan Patrick Show. He provided a unique rendition on “Stat of the Day,” re-created legendary calls in sports history, interviewed new USC head coach Steve Sarkisian, and chatted with co-worker Champ Kind.
