Peyton Returns to Indianapolis on Sunday Night Football
NBC Sports Digital will surround Peyton Manning’s return to Indianapolis by live streaming the game, creating a #ManningMoments social media scavenger hunt, and devoting Joe Posnanski’s “Big Read” column to focus on the game.
Manning and the Denver Broncos travel to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind., to take on Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts as Manning, who spent 13 years as the Colts quarterback, returns to Indianapolis for the first time on Sunday Night Football.
NBC Sports Live Extra, NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops and tablets, stream all SNF games televised on NBC. The stream will also include additional camera angles and interactive features.
Throughout the weekend in Indianapolis, NBC Sports will run a “#ManningMoments” social media scavenger hunt. Starting this morning leading up to SNF, 18 clues will be provided by the @SNFonNBC twitter handle, and with clues to a specific location to find an SNF prize. NHL Rivals Digital Series
Yahoo Sports and NBC Sports have collaborated to expand NBC Sports’ successful NHL Rivals programming by tackling a signature storyline from the week’s game in an exclusive digital-only video original to air each week on YahooSports.com. Every Tuesday at noon ET, Yahoo Sports and NBC Sports will debut a short form, video-on-demand preview of NBCSN’s new NHL Rivals program.
NHL Rivals delves into the storied history between many of the Wednesday Night Rivalry matchups, as told by current and former players, broadcasters and writers. Wednesday Night Rivalry debuted last year on NBCSN and features matchups of NHL clubs with a well-established, passionate and often bitter rivalry. Forbes called it “the hottest new brand in sports” last year.
What’s On This Weekend
NBC Sports Live Extra Weekend Schedule Highlights:
Notre Dame Hockey faces off tonight against Michigan Tech, with the game available exclusively via NBC Sports Live Extra.
The 2013 IndyCar champion will be crowned Saturday night at the final race of the season, the MAVTV 500 IndyCar World Championships. Either Scott Dixon or Helio Castroneves will be crowned the 2013 IndyCar champion. The race airs Saturday at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN and streamed live via NBC Sports Live Extra.
Premier League coverage resumes this weekend. NBC and NBCSN will highlight five matches – including Manchester United hosting Southampton, Saturday at 10 a.m. ET on NBCSN and Aston Villa facing Tottenham Hotspur Sunday at 11 a.m. ET on NBCSN. The Fighting Irish host the USC Trojans this Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC in college football’s greatest intersectional rivalry.

Dew Tour Toyota City Championships Recap
NBC Sports Live Extra and Dew Tour Live on DewTour.com presented the 2013 Dew Tour Toyota City Championships last weekend, with live streams of all preliminary and final competitions. The live stream saw an increase across the board in all key categories, including uniques, visits, minutes watched, live starts and minutes per visit. Below is a breakdown by day:
Friday:
- Overall, the live stream delivered 404,000 minutes watched, up 218%; 10,000 uniques, up 114%; 25,500 live starts, up 12%; 11,700 visits, up 6%; and 34.6 minutes per visit, all compared with last year’s daily average.
Saturday:
- Saturday delivered its best total day across the board with 12,600 uniques, 14,800 visits, 35,500 live starts, 552,500 minutes watched and 36.2 minutes per visit.
- Compared to last year’s daily averages (full 2012), Saturday’s City Championship was up heavily, 169% in uniques, 216% in visits, 257% in live starts, 334% in minutes watched and 37% in minutes per visit.
Sunday:
- Overall, the live stream delivered 30,700 live starts, 474,800 minutes watched, 13, 100 visits, 11,600 uniques and 36.2 minutes per visit.
- Compared to last year’s daily averages (full 2012), Sunday’s City Championship was up heavily, 149% in uniques, 180% in visits, 209% in live starts, 273% in minutes watched and 33% in minutes per visit.
