COMCAST SPORTSNET, MAGGIE ROSE COLLABORATE ON ORIGINAL SONG AND MUSIC VIDEO FOR NETWORK’S NFL COVERAGE

MARYLAND NATIVE’S PERFORMANCE OF “GET YA GAME ON” TO SERVE AS OPENING THEME FOR REDSKINS KICKOFF AND RAVENS KICKOFF

COUNTRY SINGER’S EXCLUSIVE NEW MATERIAL TO DEBUT SEPT. 5 ON RAVENS KICKOFF

Bethesda, Md. (Sept. 4, 2013) – Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic and country music singer Maggie Rose, a native of Potomac, Md., have collaborated to produce an original song, “Get Ya Game On,” and music video that will be featured exclusively in the network’s coverage of the Washington Redskins and Baltimore Ravens throughout the 2013 NFL season.

Rose’s performance of “Get Ya Game On” will serve as the opening video and theme song for Redskins Kickoff and Ravens Kickoff, the network’s NFL pre-game shows. Written by Rose and recorded in Nashville, the song will also be featured during Redskins Postgame Live and Ravens Postgame Live, as well as in the network’s promotional content.

“Get Ya Game On” will premiere on Ravens Kickoff on Thursday, Sept. 5, at 7:30 p.m. prior to the Ravens at Broncos Sunday Night Football season-opening game on NBC. The two-time Emmy Award-winning Redskins Kickoff will feature “Get Ya Game On” for the first time during its regular-season debut on Sept. 9 at 6 p.m.

Rose was one of the most played female artists on country radio last year, powered by her RPM Entertainment debut “I Ain’t Your Mama.” Her debut album “Cut to Impress” has been critically acclaimed and named by the New York Times as one of the year’s best releases.

“Everyone looks forward to football season because it means the fall is here, the tension between old rivals is at its peak and tailgating season is in full force,” said Rose. “When Comcast SportsNet gave me the chance to write and perform a song about football season in all its glory, I was pumped because I have great memories of what makes this time of year so great.”

Redskins Kickoff and Redskins Postgame Live are presented for one hour before and after every Redskins game. Ravens Kickoff airs prior to select Ravens games for one hour and Ravens Postgame Live follows each of the team’s games throughout the regular season and playoffs. The comprehensive game-day shows, which are led by the region’s top football experts, provide extensive news, analysis, commentary and interviews.
