COMCAST SPORTSNET TO PRESENT GEICO SPORTSNET CENTRAL: FOOTBALL TONIGHT WEEKDAYS BEGINNING SEPT. 3

Bethesda, Md. (Aug. 27, 2013) – Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic will present Geico SportsNet Central: Football Tonight through the NFL season on weekdays at 6 p.m. and 12 a.m. beginning Sept. 3. The half-hour show, which will feature leading football reporters, analysts and insiders, will provide daily coverage of the Washington Redskins, Baltimore Ravens and the top regional and national football stories.

Geico SportsNet Central: Football Tonight will deliver comprehensive news and information covering the day’s trending football topics, highlighted by daily reports from the Redskins’ and Ravens’ training facilities. The fast-paced program will also provide in-depth feature stories, expert analysis, opinionated commentary and lively debate, as well as exclusive interviews with players, coaches and newsmakers. Extensive fantasy football content will be featured on Fridays.

Geico SportsNet Central: Football Tonight will be led by rotating hosts Chick Hernandez, Michael Jenkins, Chris Miller and Rob Carlin. They will be joined in studio daily by one of the network’s expert football analysts, which include Trevor Matich, Brad Jackson, Rick “Doc” Walker, Charley Casserly and Qadry Ismail, with NBC Sports’ Mike Florio and Kay Adams, a Rotoworld contributor, scheduled to make weekly appearances. Comcast SportsNet’s team of Redskins and Ravens reporters, as well as experts from other NBC Sports Regional Networks, will contribute news, features and interviews.

With the addition of Geico SportsNet Central: Football Tonight, Comcast SportsNet’s weekday lineup will feature 1.5 hours of original NFL programming. Redskins Nation, daily Ravens shows – which include Ravens Nest, Geico SportsNet Central: John Harbaugh Live and 1 Winning Drive – and Geico SportsNet Central: Football Tonight will debut new editions from 5 to 6:30 p.m., with encores from 11 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
