11-TIME OLYMPIC MEDALIST RYAN LOCHTE HIGHLIGHTS THE CROSSOVER TONIGHT ON NBCSN AT 6 P.M. ET

Lochte on fellow Olympian Michael Phelps: “I like racing against him.”

STAMFORD, Conn. – August 20, 2013 – NBCSN’s daily sports and entertainment show The Crossover features host Michelle Beadle interviewing Ryan Lochte, the 11-time Olympic medalist, current 200m and 400m individual medley world record holder and reality star of E!’s What Would Ryan Lochte Do? tonight at 6 p.m. ET. In addition, Beadle welcomes Nick Newell, a one-armed fighter who is undefeated (10-0) in World Series of Fighting and MMA bouts, and BlackSportsOnline founder Robert Littal.

Highlights from Beadle’s interview with Lochte:

Lochte on fellow Olympian Michael Phelps: “I like racing against him because I like a challenge and he’s probably one of the hardest competitors I’ve ever had to race against so having him there, racing against him, I love it.”

On his 11 Olympic medals: “That’s not bad. I don’t have an end goal. I don’t think I’m your average athlete.”

On adjusting to his reality show, What Would Ryan Lochte Do? on E!: “It wasn’t that bad. I was fine after the first two days. Then the cameras were like a fly on the wall.”

Lochte on focusing on the 2014 Rio Olympics: “I’m getting back in the water soon and keep training.”

On the three things he’d bring with him to a deserted island: “A girl. Toothbrush. Wine.”

In addition, other topics include:

  • “Did I Tweet That?” segment in which Beadle reads a series of tweets to Lochte as he guesses whether they had been tweeted by him, Michael Phelps or Jose Canseco
  • Why he swam in the Hudson River
  • An “Impossibly Random Questions” segment
