NBC Sports Network Kicks Off Premier League Coverage Saturday, August 17, at 7 AM ET
STAMFORD – August 15, 2013 – Two days from today – on Saturday, August 17 – NBC Sports Group kicks off the most ambitious, extensive and comprehensive coverage of the Premier League available anywhere in the world. Coverage begins at 7 AM ET on NBC Sports Network with the Liverpool v. Stoke City and continues throughout the season on the networks of NBCUniversal, on the Premier League Extra Time bonus TV package, and streamed on NBC Sports Live Extra.
PREMIER LEAGUE NUMBER OF THE DAY: 2
This season, 2 Welsh clubs (Swansea City and Cardiff City) will be playing in the top flight of English soccer for the first time in history.

Talking to everyone I possibly can about the Premier League and soccer coverage in general. It’s important to get many different ideas and points of view. I’ve spent a lot of time over in the United Kingdom, observing and meeting with anyone involved in covering the Premier League. I believe that before you can determine how you want to broadcast a league that is new to your company, you must first understand how everything works and why it’s being covered a certain way.
Before we go on air, I need…
Chewing gum. I am very superstitious and must chew gum right before we go on the air. I have the same quirky routines before shows. I always dress nicely and shave on show days (I tend not to shave on the other days of the week). I feel it’s important to dress how you want your show to go.

An incredible thrill. It’s a privilege and honor to broadcast the Premier League. You can expect our coverage to be authentic and true to the game. We will be on-site in the United Kingdom whenever possible and our studio show will provide you with lots of highlights, analysis, news, reports, interviews and perspective.
