Network to provide “exclusive access” coverage of this Saturday’s ‘Wood Family Foundation’s’ massive charity event at Wrigley Field on Monday, August 26 at 7:00 PM CT;

“SportsNet Central” & CSNChicago.com to provide highlights/interviews from the “Classic” on Saturday, August 10

Chicago, IL (August 7, 2013) – Comcast SportsNet, the television home for the most games and the most comprehensive coverage of the Chicago Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs and White Sox, will produce and present viewers with a “exclusive access” highlights & celebrity interviews special from this upcoming Saturday’s inaugural “WOODY’S WIFFLE BALL CLASSIC,” being held at historic Wrigley Field.  Comcast SportsNet will debut the 90-minute special on Monday, August 26 at 7:00 PM CT with re-airs on the following dates/times (schedule subject to change): Sat, Aug 31 at 1pm – Wed, Sept 11 at 2pm & Sat, Sept. 21 at 4pm.

Benefiting the Wood Family Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by legendary Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Kerry Wood and his wife Sarah, “Woody’s Wiffle Ball Classic” will take place on the field itself, which will be built out to look like 4 separate fields — Wrigley Field, Fenway Park, Yankee Stadium, and Iowa’s “Field of Dreams” — each with backdrops and balls being hit into the bleachers. Comcast SportsNet’s special presentation coverage of “Woody’s Wiffle Ball Classic” (hosted by PAT BOYLE) will feature highlights & exclusive interviews from several of the day’s events including the Home Run Derby, Corporate Challenge, and, of course – the main event – the “Wiffle for a Diffle CELEBRITY TOURNAMENT” featuring an all-star roster of some of the biggest names on the national/local sports and entertainment scene.  Confirmed celebrity participants include:
