NEW YORK – June 14, 2013 – NBC Sports Group’s presentation of the Stanley Cup Final continues tomorrow night with Game 2 between the Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks at 8 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network (Chicago leads 1-0).

NBC Sports Group’s NHL game-announce team of Emmy Award-winner Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick (play-by-play), Eddie Olczyk (analyst), and Emmy Award-winner Pierre McGuire (Inside-the-Glass analyst) will call the action from the United Center in Chicago, Ill.

McGuire on Saturday’s upcoming game: “Game 2 will be a hard, tough and physical game. Game 1 was an instant classic, Game 2 will not be far behind.”

Pre- and post-game coverage will be hosted by Liam McHugh with analysts Mike Milbury, Keith Jones and Jeremy Roenick on-site in Chicago.

GAME 1 STANLEY CUP FINAL VIEWERSHIP

Wednesday Night’s triple overtime thriller (8 p.m.–1:06 a.m. ET) between the Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks in the inaugural game of the 2013 Stanley Cup Final averaged nearly 6.4 million viewers, making it the most-watched Stanley Cup Final Game 1 in 16 years, the most-watched Game 1 ever on NBC (since 2006), and up 119% vs. last year.

The game -- in which the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Boston Bruins, 4-3, in an epic three overtimes -- drew a 3.9 household rating and 6.358 million viewers, up 117% and 119%, respectively, vs. last year (L.A.-N.J., 1.8 rating, 2.902 million).

STANLEY CUP FINAL GAME 2 ON NBC SPORTS LIVE EXTRA

For the first time ever, the Stanley Cup Final will be streamed live. NBC Sports Live Extra -- the NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, and tablets -- will live stream tomorrow night’s Game 2 plus pre- and post-game coverage via “TV Everywhere,” the media industry’s effort to make quality content available to authenticated customers both in and out of the home and on multiple platforms.

In addition to live streaming the Stanley Cup Final, NBC Sports Live Extra will offer bonus coverage by utilizing Star Cam and Spotlight Cam for each game, exclusive to NBC Sports Live Extra. Star Cams are dedicated cameras that follow a star player from each team throughout the entire game. Spotlight Cam is a unique top-of-the glass camera that is positioned at center ice.

Saturday night’s NHL coverage on NBC Sports Network will live stream to PCs, mobile devices and tablets through NBC Sports Live Extra, and to the digital platforms of participating cable, satellite, and telco services, via “TV Everywhere,” which is available on an authenticated basis to subscribers of participating MVPDs.

NBC Sports Live Extra had its best NHL game ever with 9.2 million minutes live streamed for Wednesday night’s triple overtime thriller between the Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks. Nearly 50 million minutes of the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs have been watched this year.

In addition to viewership on NBC Sports Live Extra, Wednesday night’s Stanley Cup Final Game 1 won the night in social buzz.
