Blackhawks can Gain Stanley Cup Final Berth Tomorrow Night against Kings on NBC in Primetime
NEW YORK – June 7, 2013 – NBC Sports Group’s presentation of the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs continues tonight with the Eastern Conference Final Game 4 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network. The Boston Bruins can clinch a series sweep and a berth in the Stanley Cup Final with a win against the Pittsburgh Penguins (Boston leads 3-0). Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick will handle play-by-play, and will be joined by analyst Eddie Olczyk and Emmy Award-winning ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Pierre McGuire from TD Garden in Boston, Mass.
Tonight’s coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network with NHL Live hosted by Liam McHugh, Mike Milbury and Keith Jones from the NBC Sports Group International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn.
Saturday night’s coverage features a crucial Game 5 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC as the Chicago Blackhawks look to close out the series at home against the Los Angeles Kings (Chicago leads 3-1). Dave Strader will manage play-by-play with analyst Darren Pang and ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Brian Engblom at the United Center in Chicago, Ill.
McHugh, Milbury and Jones will host NHL Live on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network.

Final national ratings for last night’s Blackhawks-Kings game, which aired on NBC Sports Network :
- Through six days, the Conference Final round of the 2013 NHL Playoffs on NBC Sports Network is +99% in average viewership compared to the same days last year (2,212,000 vs. 1,109,000).
- Game 4 of the Chicago/Los Angeles series on NBC Sports Network (9P-11:42P) drew a 1.19 US HH rtg, 2.204 million average viewers (+145% from Game 3 of the Western Conference Final last year with Phoenix/LA).
o The game peaked with over 2.4 million viewers (2.437) from 11:30P-11:42P.
o Among M18-49 and M25-54, NBC Sports Network ranked as the #2 most watched cable network in the 9P-11:45P time period.
Following are local ratings:
- Chicago received a 15.39 HH rating, +40% from the Blackhawk’s 2010 Conference Final average on NBC Sports Network in the market (11.01).
- NBC Sports Network was the #1 rated network overall in Chicago during the 9-11:45PM ET time period.
- Los Angeles received a 2.55 HH rating, +17% from the Kings’ 2012 Conference Final average on NBCSN in the market (2.18).
- NBC Sports Network was the #1 rated cable network in Los Angeles during the 9-11:45PM ET time period.

For the second consecutive year, and only the second time in the 96-year history of the NHL, every Stanley Cup Playoff game will be televised nationally.
