THE ‘LIGHTS

FRENCH OPEN

NBC’s coverage continues this Saturday at Noon ET, with live coverage of the third round of the tournament, and this Sunday at 1 p.m. with live coverage of the fourth round. In all, NBC will broadcast 27 hours from Roland Garros, culminating with the Women’s Final on June 8 and the Men’s Final on June 9.

Host Ted Robinson anchors NBC’s coverage and will be joined by analysts John McEnroe and Mary Carillo. McEnroe and Carillo teamed to win the mixed doubles title at the 1977 French Open.

COLLEGIATE RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIPS

Coverage begins on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET on NBC, with live Quarterfinal matches. Collegiate Rugby Championship action will continue on NBC Sports Network at 8 p.m. ET, following the conclusion of Game 1 of the NHL Stanley Cup Western Conference Final.

On Sunday at 2 p.m. ET, NBC Sports Network will resume live coverage and telecast the Bronze Medal Challenger Final, followed by the Championship Final live on NBC.

Veteran announcer Todd Harris will serve as the play-by-play commentator for all telecasts. Harris will be joined in the booth by former USA Sevens captain and USA Rugby World Cup participant Brian HightowerMarty Snider will report all the action from the sidelines.

PREFONTAINE CLASSIC

NBC Sports Group presents expanded live coverage of the 39th Prefontaine Classic this Saturday, June 1, beginning on NBC Sports Network at 3:30-4:30 p.m. ET, and continuing on NBC from 4:30-6 p.m. ET.

NBC’s Olympic track and field broadcast team of Tom HammondAto Boldon, Lewis JohnsonDwight Stones and Craig Masback will call all the action from Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.

NHL CONFERENCE FINALS

On Saturday night at 5 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network, the Chicago Blackhawks host the Los Angeles Kings. Dave Strader will manage play-by-play and with analyst Brian Engblom and ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Darren Pang at the United Center in Chicago, Ill.

NBC presents coverage of the Pittsburgh Penguins hosting the Boston Bruins in primetime at 8 p.m. ET. Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick will handle play-by-play, and will be joined by analyst Eddie Olczyk and Emmy Award-winning ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Pierre McGuire from Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Conference Finals coverage begins on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network with NHL Live hosted by Liam McHughMike Milbury and Keith Jones from the NBC Sports Group International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn.

Sunday’s coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET with NHL Live followed by Game 2 of Los Angeles vs. Chicago.

ELITE CYCLING

NBC Sports Network will air 11 hours of elite cycling coverage, including the Volkswagen USA Cycling Professional Road and Time Trial National Championships, and Critérium du Dauphiné. Coverage begins this Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network and continues throughout the week.

Craig HummerRobbie Ventura, and Kristin Armstrong will report from Chattannooga, Tenn. for the USA Pro Cycling Championships, where the nation’s best men and women professional cyclists in both road race and time trial compete to the finish.

Steve Schlanger and Bob Roll will report from Dauphiné, France for the Critérium du Dauphiné.

MLS 36 & LOS ANGELES AT NEW ENGLAND

NBC Sports Network’s Major League Soccer coverage this weekend features the New England Revolution (4-4-4, 16 pts.) hosting the Los Angeles Galaxy (6-4-2, 20 pts.) and the return of MLS 36. Coverage begins at 4 p.m. ET this Sunday, June 2, with a behind-the-scenes look at the Los Angeles Galaxy and U.S. National Team defender Omar Gonzalez, and continues at 4:30 p.m. ET with live coverage of the match.

NBC Sports Group’s MLS announce team of Arlo White (play-by-play), Kyle Martino (‘Between-the-Benches’) and Russ Thaler (analyst) will host coverage from Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.

MLS 36: 2012 MLS Cup MVP Omar Gonzalez, a star defender for the Los Angeles Galaxy, will be featured in the latest episode of MLS 36, airing Sunday, June 2, at 4 p.m. ET. The all-access 36 series, which is produced by IMS Productions, also includes NHL 36, Fight Night 36, F1 36, and IndyCar 36. Future MLS 36 episodes will feature Sporting Kansas City’s defensive duo of Matt Besler and Aurelien Collin, Houston Dynamo marksman Brad Davis and other MLS stars to be named later.
