NEW YORK – May 3, 2013 – “NHL Playoff Pass” on NBC Sports Group Press Box provides a quick daily overview of Stanley Cup Playoff coverage. It is published weekdays to preview the evening games. On Fridays, a weekend edition is posted.

TONIGHT, May 3
NHL Live, hosted by Liam McHugh, Jeremy Roenick and Keith Jones, begins at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network. Bill Patrick and Mike Keenan will host CNBC’s studio coverage.
Playoff coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET tonight on NBC Sports Network when the Pittsburgh Penguins host the N.Y. Islanders at Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pa. The Penguins lead the series 1-0 after a shutout in Game 1. Kenny Albert will call play-by-play alongside analyst Pierre McGuire (‘Inside-the-Glass’). NBC Sports Network’s coverage continues with the Chicago Blackhawks hosting the Minnesota Wild in Game 2. Chicago leads the series 1-0 after an overtime win. Dave Strader will manage play-by-play duties and will be joined by analyst Brian Engblom from United Center, Chicago, Ill.
On CNBC at 7 p.m. ET, Ottawa takes on Montreal at Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, in Game 2. Ottawa leads 1-0 after a physical start to the series. The San Jose Sharks compete against the Vancouver Canucks as they look to extend their series lead on the road at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, B.C. (Sharks 1-0). CSN California’s Randy Hahn will serve as play-by-play announcer alongside analysts Drew Remenda and Brodie Brazil.
TOMORROW, May 4
NBC drops the puck on its NHL playoff coverage at 12:30 p.m. ET with the New York Rangers at the Washington Capitals in Game 2 of the series (Capitals lead 1-0). Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick will call play-by-play alongside analysts Eddie Olczyk and Pierre McGuire (‘Inside-the-Glass’) from Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.
At 7 p.m. ET on CNBC, the Boston Bruins take on the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 2 at TD Garden in Boston, Mass (Bruins lead 1-0). Russ Thaler and Anson Carter will host CNBC studio coverage.
On NBC Sports Network at 7:30 p.m. ET, the Detroit Red Wings look to win on home ice against the Anaheim Ducks (series tied 1-1). Rick Peckham will handle play-by-play alongside analyst Joe Micheletti from Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Mich.
Continuing on NBC Sports Network at 10 p.m. ET, the Los Angeles Kings hope to change the momentum in Game 3 of the series as they take on the St. Louis Blues (Blues lead 2-0). John Forslund will manage play-by-play duties alongside analyst Daryl Reaugh.
NHL Live will provide post-game insights and analysis from host Liam McHugh and analysts Mike Milbury and Keith Jones.
SUNDAY, May 5
Playoff coverage begins on NBC this Sunday at noon ET with the Pittsburgh Penguins traveling to New York to take on the Islanders in Game 3 of the series. Dave Strader will call play-by-play alongside analyst Brian Engblom from Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y. The Chicago Blackhawks challenge the Minnesota Wild at 3 p.m. on NBC. Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick will call play-by-play alongside analysts Eddie Olczyk and Pierre McGuire (‘Inside-the-Glass’) from Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.
NBC Sports Network presents back-to-back Game 3s beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday night when the Montreal Canadiens venture to Ottawa to take on the Senators at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, Ontario, followed by the San Jose Sharks hosting the Vancouver Canucks at HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif. Randy Hahn will serve as play-by-play announcer alongside analysts Drew Remenda, Brodie Brazil and Bret Hedican.
BLACKOUT REMINDER
During the Conference Quarterfinals, games that air on NBC Sports Network, CNBC and the NHL Network are subject to local blackouts. NBC Sports Network, CNBC and the NHL Network begin exclusivity in the second round. Games airing on NBC are exclusive throughout the playoffs.
