COMCAST SPORTSNET BAY AREA PRESENTS NORTHERN CALIFORNIA’S MOST COMPREHENSIVE COVERAGE OF “SELECTION SUNDAY”

Network to Air One-Hour Special “SportsNet Central: Selection Sunday” on March 17 at 8:30 P.M.

 SAN FRANCISCO, CA (March 14, 2013) – Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, the home of “Authentic Bay Area Sports,” begins Northern California’s most comprehensive and in-depth coverage of Selection Sunday on March 17 – the day that 68 men’s teams are announced and seeded for the NCAA Division I Basketball Tournament – with a live one-hour special SportsNet Central: Selection Sunday airing at 8:30 p.m.

 Hosted by Comcast SportsNet’s Scott Reiss (@ScottReissCSN), SportsNet Central: Selection Sunday will feature expert analysis from California Golden Bears basketball radio announcer Roxy Bernstein (@RoxyBernstein); Comcast SportsNet contributor and veteran sports broadcaster Barry Tompkins; and Stanford basketball radio analyst Drew Shiller (@DrewShiller). The show will also feature University of San Francisco men’s basketball coach Rex Walters and other special guests.

SportsNet Central: Selection Sunday will cover important Tournament topics, including extensive analysis of the bracket in each region, previews of key matchups and discussion of what teams were left out, how the Pac-12 and WCC will fare in the tournament, and predictions by the local experts of the teams destined for the Elite Eight, Final Four and Championship game.
