SAN FRANCISCO, CA (February 26, 2013) – Comcast SportsNet California, the home of “Authentic Bay Area Sports,” today announced its comprehensive coverage of the defending American League West Champion Oakland Athletics for the 2013 Major League Baseball season, featuring 146 games (144 regular season, 2 exhibition), pre- and post- game shows, in-depth nightly news coverage and complete 24/7 online A’s coverage on CSNCalifornia.com.

Comcast SportsNet California’s regular season coverage begins with the A’s season and home opener against A.L. West Division foe Seattle Mariners on Monday, April 1at 7 p.m. Extensive A’s coverage on Comcast SportsNet California against playoff contenders, including six games against the 2012 A.L. Champion Detroit Tigers (April 12, 13, 14; August 26, 27, 28), seventeen games against 2012 A.L. Wild-Card winner Texas Rangers (May 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22; June 17, 18, 19, 20; August 2, 4; September 2, 3, 4, 13, 15), six games against 2012 A.L. East Champion New York Yankees (May 3, 4, 5; June 11, 12, 13), plus eighteen games against A.L. West Division rival Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (April 9, 10, 11, 29, 30, May 1; July 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 28; September 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25). The Emmy Award winning duo of Glen Kuiper (play-by-play) and Ray Fosse (color analyst) will return for their eighth season together calling the majority of A’s games on Comcast SportsNet California. Former A’s first baseman Scott Hatteberg returns to the broadcast booth and will join Kuiper as a color analyst for 17 telecasts.

Note: The A’s-Seattle Mariners game on Wednesday, April 3 at 7 p.m. will be produced by Comcast SportsNet California and will air on KOFY TV20-Cable-13.

In addition to the 144 regular season contests, Comcast SportsNet California will telecast two preseason games – the first airing Sunday, March 24 at 1 p.m. against the Los Angeles Dodgers from Phoenix Municipal Stadium and the second on Saturday, March 30 at 1 p.m. versus the San Francisco Giants from Oakland.

A’s interleague action includes games against the 2012 World Series Champion San Francisco Giants (May 27, 28, 29, 30), and contests with N.L. Central teams Cincinnati Reds (June 25, 26), St. Louis Cardinals (June 28, 29, 30), Milwaukee Brewers (June 3, 4) and Chicago Cubs (July 2, 3, 4).

Prior to the games, A’s Pregame Live will provide a preview of the upcoming contest, exclusive pregame interviews, feature stories on A’s players and the latest team news. Immediately after the final out, A’s Postgame Live will provide in-depth game analysis, game highlights, clubhouse interviews from coaches and players, player reaction and a preview of the next contest.

Comcast SportsNet California brings back the popular Authentic Fan Friday at the Oakland-Alameda Coliseum with every Friday home game during the regular season. Fans who purchase a Value Deck ticket will sit in the special Authentic Fan section 316-318, and the entire section will be prominently featured in the game telecast.
