THE ‘LIGHTS

THE CROSSOVER

The Crossover, a 30-minute daily topical sports, entertainment and pop culture show featuring Michelle Beadle and Dave Briggs is designed for viewers who want more than basic sports news and scores. The Crossover focuses on the biggest and most topical stories of the day in the worlds of sports, pop culture and entertainment. As part of the daily show, Beadle and Briggs will welcome guests from sports and entertainment to discuss the news of the day, the sports teams they love, the projects they are working on and more.

COLLEGE HOCKEY

NBC Sports Network will resume Friday Night Ice, its college hockey programming, when No. 15 Nebraska-Omaha hosts No. 7 North Dakota at 7:30 p.m. ET, from CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Neb. Steve Schlanger will serve as play-by-play announcer alongside with ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Ken Hodge.

NFL TURNING POINT

A special encore presentation of NFL Turning Point will air on NBC Sports Network tomorrow night at midnight, Saturday at 5 p.m. ET and again 11 p.m. ET.  Hosted by Football Night In America’s Dan Patrick, this week’s episode of NFL Turning Point examines Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens’ 34-31 Super Bowl XLVII win over Colin Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers. NFL Turning Point also explores the power outage in the building and how the unexpected 34-minute delay impacted both teams.  The episode features sound from Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, Ravens LB Ray Lewis, QB Joe Flacco, 49ers WR Michael Crabtree, and referee Jerome Boger when the lights went out during the Super Bowl.

GOLF

Headlining a strong field, defending champion Phil Mickelson will look to continue his winning streak this week at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. Terry Gannon will manage play-by-play duties alongside analyst Nick Faldo.

RUGBY SEVENS: USA SEVENS VEGAS

NBC Sports Group will deliver more than 16 hours of the 2013 USA Sevens Vegas tournament this weekend on NBC, NBC Sports Network and Universal Sports. NBC Sports Network coverage begins on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET, from Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nev. Tournament coverage will continue through the weekend and will include several full matches as well as highlights from the three-day event.

Veteran play-by-play announcer Todd Harris will call the matches for NBC and NBC Sports Network. Harris will be joined in the booth by former USA Sevens captain and USA Rugby World Cup participant Brian Hightower. Marty Snider will report from the sidelines.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL

Saturday night at 9 p.m. ET, former NBA head coach and NBC Sports Network analyst Stan Van Gundy will pair with play-by-play announcer Paul Burmeister to call No. 15 New Mexico and UNLV at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nev.

NHL

NBC Sports Network’s coverage will continue on Sun., Feb. 10 with the New Jersey Devils at the Pittsburgh Penguins at 7:30 p.m. ET. Dave Strader (play-by-play) and Brian Engblom (‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst) will call the action in Pittsburgh. Coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET with NHL Live hosted by Liam McHugh accompanied by analysts Keith Jones and Mike Milbury.
