16 High Definition Spring Training Games, Original Specials, plus Exclusive Online Coverage Highlight

Comcast SportsNet’s 2013 Philadelphia Phillies Spring Training Coverage 

PHILADELPHIA- (February 6, 2013) – Comcast SportsNet, the leader in local sports, will provide Phillies fans with the most Spring Training programming on-air and online beginning Monday, February 11. Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network will air 16 live Spring Training games in high definition, plus the networks will air a weekly team special, “Phillies Focus.”

Throughout Spring Training, Phillies fans can catch the latest team developments and analysis from Michael Barkann, Gregg Murphy, Jim Salisbury and John Gonzalez on “Daily News Live,” “SportsNite,” “SportsRise,” and online at CSNPhilly.com. Fans can interact with every show on Twitter by using the hashtag #PhilliesTalk.

Phillies Focus

Comcast SportsNet will weekly Phillies Spring Training specials beginning on Sunday, February 17 with “Phillies Focus.” These specials will look back at the off-season moves and what lies ahead for 2013.  The first episode, airing on Sunday, February 17 at 10:30 p.m., will feature Phillies catcher Erik Kratz as he returns to his hometown of Telford, PA.

All “Phillies Focus” episodes will premiere at 10:30 p.m. on Sundays and will repeat throughout the week on Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network.  The final show will air on March 31 and will be a season preview with Ricky Bottalico, Ben Davis and Jim Salisbury providing commentary.

Daily News Live Hits the Road

Comcast SportsNet’s roundtable program, “Daily News Live,” will hit the road and broadcast from Brighthouse Field in Clearwater beginning on Monday, February 11.  Michael Barkann hosts the program, which will feature Phillies players, front office staff, and baseball experts and writers from the Philadelphia Daily News.

Also, beginning on Monday, February 11, CSNPhilly.com’s Phillies Insider Jim Salisbury starts his daily reports from Clearwater, FL, the site of Phillies Spring Training. Salisbury will provide extensive player, coaches and management interviews, plus breaking news and in-depth features on CSNPhilly.com. He will also provide live reports for “Daily News Live” and “SportsNite.” CSNPhilly.com columnist John Gonzalez and feature writer John Finger will also contribute to the site throughout Spring Training.

CSNPhilly.com’s online show “Lunch Break” will have numerous episodes originate from Clearwater.
