THE ‘LIGHTS

U.S. FIGURE SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS

NBC Sports presents live coverage of the U.S. Figure Skating Championships from CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Neb., with live primetime coverage of the Ladies Free Skate on Saturday. NBC begins its coverage this Saturday at 3 p.m. ET, with live coverage of the Pairs Free Skate and Free Dance. Later that evening in primetime, the Ladies Short Program will air at 8 p.m. ET, followed by live coverage of the Ladies Free Skate. Coverage continues on Sunday with the Men’s Free Skate, live, from 3-5 p.m. ET.

Emmy Award-winning play-by-play announcer Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick, the lead voice of NBC Sports Group’s NHL coverage, will host Saturday night and Sunday afternoon’s events, with Steve Schlanger hosting Saturday afternoon’s coverage. NBC’s Olympic figure skating analysts Scott Hamilton, Sandra Bezic and Tracy Wilson will rotate during the weekend’s coverage, with Andrea Joyce handling the interviews.

GOLF CHANNEL

Golf Channel will air live tournament coverage of the Farmers Insurance Open on Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. ET with Terry Gannon (play-by-play), Frank Nobilo (analyst), Peter Oosterhuis (tower), Phil Parkin (on course) and Steve Sands (interviews).

CRIS COLLINSWORTH’S SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL SPECIAL

Cris Collinsowrth’s Sunday Night Football Special will air this Sunday at 5 p.m. ET on NBC. The 13-time Emmy Award-winner, who has won the Emmy for Outstanding Event Analyst in each of his three seasons in the Sunday Night Football booth, will look back at the 2012 NFL season, review major highlights from this season’s Sunday Night Football broadcasts, and preview Super Bowl XLVII.

The show includes a roundtable interview featuring NFL players in Hawaii for the Pro Bowl including Super Bowl XLI Champion and current Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning, Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson, Washington Redskins LB London Fletcher, and Green Bay Packers C Jeff Saturday.

NFL PRO BOWL

The NFL Pro Bowl returns to NBC in primetime at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, January 27. Pre-game, halftime, and post-game coverage of the Pro Bowl will originate from the NBC Sports set in

New Orleans. Host Dan Patrick will be joined by Tony DungyRodney HarrisonPeter King, and Mike Florio.

Calling the Pro Bowl is six-time Emmy Award-winner Al Michaels (play-by-play), who just completed his 27th season as the voice of the NFL’s premier primetime package; 13-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth, who has won the Emmy for Outstanding Event Analyst in each of his three seasons in the Sunday Night Football booth; and sideline reporter Michele Tafoya, who last year in her first season with SNF, won the inaugural Emmy Award for Outstanding Sports Reporter. In addition to Tafoya, former NFL quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Doug Flutie will report from the sideline.

COLLEGE SPORTS ON NBC SPORTS NETWORK

Hockey: Cornell hosts No. 7 Yale this Friday, Jan. 25 at 7:30 p.m. ET. Gord Miller will manage the play-by-play alongside analyst Ken Hodge from Lynah Rink in Ithaca, N.Y.

Basketball: San Diego State hosts New Mexico this Sat., Jan. 26 at 4 p.m.  Dave Strader will manage play-by-play alongside analyst Blaine Fowler from Viejas Arena in San Diego, CA.
