In-Depth Look at Divisional Playoffs Between Ravens–Broncos, Texans-Patriots, Seahawks-Falcons, and Packers-49ers

New York – January 15, 2013 – Emmy-nominated NFL Turning Point, NBC Sports Network’s weekly NFL show co-produced by NFL Films, airs Wednesday night at 10 p.m. ET. In this week’s episode: NFL Turning Point examines Joe Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens’ AFC Divisional Playoff win over Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos; a spotlight look at Tom Brady’s playoff performance against the Houston Texans; Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons’ NFC Divisional Playoff victory at home against the Seahawks; and Colin Kaepernick’s playoff record-breaking performance at Candlestick Park against the Green Bay Packers.

Hosted by Football Night In America’s Dan Patrick, the hour-long program airs throughout the entire NFL season, including the playoffs and Super Bowl.

  • NFL Turning Point explores Ravens-Broncos, and the matchup between Ravens WR Torrey Smith and Broncos CB Champ Bailey. NFL Films breaks down the fourth quarter of the game, including Ravens QB Joe Flacco’s memorable 70-yard touchdown pass to WR Jacoby Jones with seconds left in the game.
  • Patriots QB Tom Brady was wired for sound during New England’s 41-28 victory over Houston. NFL Turning Point reviews Brady’s game against the Texans and his post season performance in 2013.
  • This week’s edition of NFL Turning Point also shines a spotlight on the Seahawks-Falcons NFC Divisional Playoff game. The segment examines the play of Falcons QB Matt Ryan and how Atlanta’s passing attack matched up against Seattle’s defense. NFL Films explores the Seahawks comeback in the second half, and the Falcons final drive in which Atlanta K Matt Bryant kicked a 49-yard field goal with seconds left in the fourth quarter.
  • An in-depth look at Packers-49ers, and how San Francisco QB Colin Kaepernick helped lead the 49ers to their second consecutive appearance in the NFC Championship Game. NFL Turning Point examines the play of Kaepernick and how he was able to rush for a quarterback playoff record 181 yards.

Each week NFL Turning Point is built around select NFL match-ups from the previous weekend, and focuses on the crucial “turning point” moments that ultimately defined the outcome of each game. The show features anatomy-of-a-play type segments and long form, Game-of-the-Week style narratives that includes the pre-game and post-game access, sideline sounds, jaw-dropping cinematography and incredible storytelling that is synonymous with NFL Films.

This year, NBC Sports Network will air a total of 22 episodes, running throughout the entire NFL season, including the playoffs and Super Bowl. The season finale, scheduled to air on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, will look back at the turning point of Super Bowl XLVII.
