“UNDEFEATED: 2012 NOTRE DAME FOOTBALL SEASON IN REVIEW” AIRS SATURDAY AT 2 P.M. ET ON NBC

Program Features In-Depth Look Back at 2012 Season Head Coach Brian Kelly & Heisman Candidate Manti Te’o Interviewed Notre Dame Football Marathon Scheduled on NBC Sports Network New Year's Day

New York – December 20, 2012 – With Notre Dame concluding its 2012 regular season with a perfect 12-0 record and the No. 1 BCS ranking, NBC will take a special look back at the Fighting Irish’s magical season and look ahead to the team’s upcoming appearance in the BCS National Championship. Undefeated: 2012 Notre Dame Football Season in Review airs Saturday, at 2 p.m. ET on NBC.

Hosted by Liam McHugh, Undefeated will feature an in-depth and behind-the-scenes look at Notre Dame’s first undefeated regular season since 1988. Undefeated will include interviews with head coach Brian Kelly and numerous players. It will also look back at the remarkable career of Heisman Trophy candidate and team captain linebacker Manti Te’o. Footage from the Notre Dame Football awards show will also air in Undefeated.

NEW YEAR’S DAY MARATHON

In addition to the telecast this Saturday on NBC, NBC Sports Network is kicking off the New Year with 10 hours of Notre Dame Football programming beginning at noon ET on Tues., Jan. 1, 2013. NBC Sports Network will re-air the team’s win against rival Michigan, followed by an encore showing of Onward Notre Dame: South Bend to Soldier Field, a special NFL Films-produced behind-the-scenes look at Notre Dame Football. At 3 p.m. ET, NBC Sports Network will present Notre Dame’s overtime victory over Stanford, followed by the team’s triple overtime victory over Pittsburgh at 5 p.m. ET. Coverage continues with the Fighting Irish’s shutout win over Wake Forest on Senior Day at 7 p.m. ET. The day concludes with an encore showing of Undefeated: 2012 Notre Dame Football Season in Review.

VIEWERSHIP

Notre Dame Football on NBC scored its most-watched season in seven years. The Fighting Irish averaged 4.4 million viewers and a 2.8 household rating for their seven games on NBC, up 69% and 67%, respectively, versus last year (2.6 million viewers and a 1.7 household rating). The 4.4. million average viewers this year is the best for Notre Dame Football on NBC since 2005 (5.2 million), while the 2.8 rating is the best since 2006 (3.0).
