NBC SPORTS NETWORK PRESENTS A DAY OF U.S. WOMEN’S NATIONAL SOCCER TEAM COVERAGE ON TUESDAY, OCT.23 CULMINATING WITH A FRIENDLY VS. GERMANY AT 7:30 P.M. ET

NBC Sports Network’s Coverage Features Return to London Programming with Women’s Soccer Semifinals: USA vs. Canada at 5:30 p.m. ET and USA’s Gold Medal-winning match against Japan at 11 p.m. ET USA Faces Germany for in Fifth Game of the Fan Tribute Tour

NEW YORK – October 17, 2012 – NBC Sports Network presents the U.S. Women’s National team when they face off against Germany on Tuesday, October 23 at 7:30 p.m. ET live from Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Conn. USA vs. Germany is the team’s fifth stop on the Fan Tribute Tour. The team has won its first three matches on the tour.

Surrounding the Team USA-Germany match, NBC Sports Network will air the thrilling USA Women’s Olympic semifinal match against Canada at 5:30 p.m. ET, and the USA Women’s Olympic Gold Medal win against Japan in the 2012 London Olympic final at 11 p.m. ET, as part of NBC Sports Network’s special Return to London programming.

Tonight NBC Sports Network presents MLS coverage when the Seattle Sounders host Real Salt Lake at 10 p.m. ET from CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Wash.

COMMENTATORS: Arlo White (@arlowhite, play-by-play), and Kate Markgraf (@katemarkgraf, “Between the Benches” analyst) will call the USA-Germany game while Russ Thaler (@RussThaler) will host the pre-game, halftime and post-game segments

Last August, Major League Soccer (MLS) and the NBC Sports Group announced a three-year media rights agreement that calls for 46 MLS games and four U.S. National Team contests to be televised live across both NBC and NBC Sports Network each season. This agreement was the first rights deal for the new NBC Sports Network. All telecasts on NBC and NBC Sports Network will consist of pre-game and post-game coverage.
