THE ATLANTIC 10 AND NBC SPORTS GROUP ANNOUNCE MULTI-YEAR NATIONAL TELEVISION AGREEMENT

NEW YORKOctober 2, 2012 -- The Atlantic 10 Conference and the NBC Sports Group announced a nine-year agreement to nationally televise men’s and women’s basketball games on the NBC Sports Network, as well as select local games on NBC Sports Regional Networks. Begining in 2013, the agreement also allows for games to be live streamed on NBC Sports Live Extra, which is available on NBCSports.com and on mobile and tablet apps.

Per the agreement, NBC Sports Network will televise six games during the 2012-13 season (one non-conference game and five conference contests). Beginning in 2013 and continuing through 2021, NBC Sports Network will televise 25 regular-season men’s games, three regular-season women’s games, and the quarterfinals of the men’s and women’s championships. In addition, the NBC Sports Regional Networks will televise select games in the local markets of the participating teams (two regular-season men’s games, three regular-season women’s games, four men’s quarterfinal games and four women’s quarterfinal games).

McGlade. “NBC Sports Network is recognized nationwide and the A-10 will benefit greatly from this partnership.”
