AARON RODGERS, MATT RYAN AND CAM NEWTON FEATURED IN THIS WEEK’S “NFL TURNING POINT”

New Episode Airs Wednesday, Oct. 3, 10 P.M. ET on NBC Sports Networ

New York – October 2, 2012 — Emmy-nominated NFL Turning Point, NBC Sports Network’s weekly NFL show co-produced by NFL Films, airs this Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET. This week’s episode features: anin-depth analysis of SaintsPackers, including in-game audio from Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers; Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan, and a close look at the fourth quarter of the Panthers-Falcons game;and a look at how key fourth-quarter play calling allowed the Eagles to beat the Giants on Sunday night. In addition, Football Night In America’s Rodney Harrison and Tony Dungy will breakdown the keys to this Sunday’s Chargers-Saints game.

Hosted by Football Night In America’s Dan Patrick, the hour-long program will air throughout the entire NFL season, including the playoffs and Super Bowl.

This week’s episode will feature:

  • An in-depth look at Saints–Packers, including Aaron Rodgers ability to pick apart the Saints defense during this past Sunday’s game. The segment features compelling in-game audio from Rodgers, who was wired for sound during the entire game.
  • Matt Ryan and the Falcons offensive battle against Cam Newton and the Panthers. NFL Turning Point analyzes Atlanta’s nearly flawless fourth-quarter drive that set up the Falcons game-winning field goal, including Newton’s fumble that gave Atlanta the ball back with two minutes left in the game.
  • NFL Films studies Giants-Eagles and the decisions made by both head coaches in the fourth quarter that resulted in an Eagles victory. In addition, the segment will feature a unique look at the retirement ceremony of former Eagles All-Pro safety Brian Dawkins.
  • Football Night In America’s Rodney Harrison and Tony Dungy look ahead to this Sunday’s Chargers-Saints matchup and breakdown the keys to the game for both teams.

Each week NFL Turning Point will be built around select NFL match-ups from the previous weekend, and will focus on the crucial “turning point” moments that ultimately defined the outcome of each game. The show will feature anatomy-of-a-play type segments and long form, Game-of-the-Week style narratives that include the pre-game and post-game access, sideline sounds, jaw-dropping cinematography and incredible storytelling that is synonymous with NFL Films.

Earlier this year NFL Films and NBC Sports Group agreed to renew the Emmy-nominated NFL Turning Point, for the 2012, 2013, and 2014 seasons. This year, NBC Sports Network will air a total of 22 episodes, running throughout the entire NFL season, including the playoffs and Super Bowl. The season finale, scheduled to air on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, will look back at the turning point of Super Bowl XLVII.
