New York – June 8, 2012 – NBC will air live coverage of the Adidas Grand Prix tomorrow at 3 p.m. ET. The Adidas Grand Prix is the sixth stop of the International Samsung Diamond League circuit, and the only stop in the U.S. The events will feature 72 Olympic or World Champion medalists, 40 of whom are Olympic gold medalists, from 42 countries as they gather at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island, N.Y., to compete.

Headlining the event for the U.S. is two-time World Champion and two-time World silver medalist Lashinda Demus competing in the women’s 400m hurdles, and World Championship gold medalist and two-time World Athletics bronze medalist Jesse Williams competing in the men’s high jump. A single point spread in the men’s high jump differentiates Aleksandr Menkov of Russia from Greg Rutherford of Great Britain and Godfrey Khotso Mokoena of South Africa, who are tied for second with four points in the Samsung Diamond League. The women’s 800m features a tight race between Pamela Jelimo of Kenya and Fantu Magiso of Ethiopa, who are currently tied for first with six points. Events being aired will include: women’s 400m hurdles; men’s 1500m national race, men’s high jump, men’s long jump and the women’s 800m.

Paul Sunderland, Ato Boldon, Lewis Johnson and Dwight Stones will call the action from New York at 3 p.m. ET on NBC.
