2012 STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS – DAY 13

New York – April 23, 2012 – Day 13 – Two original six teams will attempt to force Game 7s in their respective series tonight as the NBC Sports Group presents Day 13 of the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs on NBC Sports Network and CNBC. Coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. ET with NHL Live on NBC Sports Network.

TONIGHT

Tonight at 7 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network in the Eastern Conference, the #8 Ottawa Senators, leading the series 3-2, look to become the second eighth-seeded team to advance to the second round when they host the #1 New York Rangers. The #8 Los Angeles Kings closed out the top-seeded Vancouver Canucks last night in five games in the Western Conference. Also in the West  at 9 p.m. ET on CNBC, the #6 Chicago Blackhawks will try to avoid elimination by hosting the #3 Phoenix Coyotes, who lead the series 3-2. All five games in the series so far have gone to overtime. Tonight’s schedule (all times ET):

GAMES TELEVISED SO FAR

For the first time in the 95-year history of the NHL, every Stanley Cup Playoff game will be televised nationally. The NBC Sports Group will provide unprecedented access to the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs in April, May and June, televising as many as 105 playoff games and possibly more than 262.5 hours of programming. Games will be presented on NBC, the NBC Sports Network, the NHL Network, and NBCUniversal’s business channel CNBC in primetime.
