NEW YORK – April 18, 2012 – Day 8 – The NBC Sports Group begins its second week of 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs coverage tonight with two potential series clinchers on NBC Sports Network, and a tight series on CNBC. Coverage begins tonight at 6:30 p.m. ET with NHL Live on NBC Sports Network.

TONIGHT

Tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network, the #5 Philadelphia Flyers, up 3-0 in the series, can eliminate the #4 Pittsburgh Penguins in Philadelphia and move on to the Conference Semi-Finals with a victory. Also in the East, the #8 Ottawa Senators look to even their series on their home-ice against the #1 New York Rangers (lead series 2-1) at 7:30 p.m. ET on CNBC. Concluding tonight’s action on NBC Sports Network at 10 p.m. ET, the host #8 Los Angeles Kings, leading the series 3-0, hope to finish their  series tonight against the #1 Vancouver Canucks. GAMES TELEVISED SO FAR

For the first time in the 95-year history of the NHL, every Stanley Cup Playoff game will be televised nationally. The NBC Sports Group will provide unprecedented access to the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs in April, May and June, televising as many as 105 playoff games and possibly more than 262.5 hours of programming. Games will be presented on NBC, the NBC Sports Network, the NHL Network, and NBCUniversal’s business channel CNBC in primetime.
